A victim turned the tables on a pair of burglary suspects Tuesday night.
It happened in the 3400 block of 30th Street around 10:44 p.m.
Police say a woman knocked on the victim's front door and asked to use the phone. While she was talking on the phone, a man rushed from the side of the house and charged the victim with a gun in his outstretched hand.
The victim was able to get the gun away from the suspect and fired it several times as they fled the scene.
The suspects, described as a Hispanic male and female, have not been located, and the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone seen George Zimmerman?
This is 2013, not 1953. It's not the same country anymore, and you can't take chances like this victim did.
Interesting how he was sharp enough to disarm the perp, but not adept enough to hit the target.
I’m guessing he chose NOT to kill them, because he’d disarmed them.
We should never know the answer, as he must maintain that he continued to fear for his life, or else risk prosecution for firing at them.
I sure hope the police don’t press charges against the victim for stealing the robber’s gun. Depending on the victim’s ethnicity, he may even be a racist for stealing the Hispanic’s gun. /s
