The House doesn’t have to vote again. In June, they sent HR2668 to the Senate. The bill mandated a one year delay of the individual mandate. Of course Harry Reid ignored it, but the bill remains in a pile of unconsidered legislation. If the Senate was to pass that bill with no alterations, it would go directly to obama for his signature.

Don't miss this bit:

"Experts like Laszewski are now talking about the possibility of 16 million people getting pink slips for their current insurance. That’s no insurance. No doctor. Nothing. Already, over 1 million people have lost their insurance, with cancellation notices actually soaring above Obamacare enrollment rates.

If so, the net result of instituting Obamacare will be to reduce the number of people with health insurance.

A typical Socialist sponsored outcome - you get the opposite of what was intended.

I concur with that analysis. The Republicans should talk, analyze, project thoughts but actually do nothing.

Bump. I read that the repubs want to vote to repeal the medical device tax, too. Idjits. Let the pain be felt and then offer the solution, the only solution - complete repeal of Obamacare.

When the death spiral begins, the dems will beg and demand a one year delay. At that point we should again call for defundng of the mess and repeal. We will run on that. To simply delay is to waste another 2 years after the 2014 midterms. We can win back the senate is such numbers as to have a veto proof repeal of this thing.

No delay.

Ahh you are correct. Didn’t think of that. Yep, that is what will happen.

Yes indeed, that is the purpose... the failure of the insurers, with their current reaction being excessively high premiums to meed the mandated coverage. The need for subsidies to cover these premiums-which we cannot afford in taxes.

The purpose is to drive private insurers out of the business and substitute single payer— ie. ONE party control of the country for generations, and absolute shiite healthcare.

Stop immigration amnesty— because it is designed to ADD to the rolls of the “uninsurable” great masses of systemic overload-— and subsequent dem voter pool for the “solution” and subsidies again.

Let the beast roll on, right over the cliff. Let the People know whose beast it is— Not conservatives.

Seriously, if there *are* any Republican hackers, in a *very* covert manner they need to monkey wrench the Obamacare and related software severely. Hopefully with a software worm that will hide itself to avoid being removed, even if they wipe their servers and reinstall.

the author has an excellent point.

One that I've been making for weeks.

Senator Marco Rubio is leading the Republican charge to delay the March 31 enrollment deadline and tax penalty. And a lot of Republicans are lining up behind him. But is that the right tactic?

Consider the source. See tag line.

The new talking points will be that Obamacare failed because of the GOP obstructing it at every point.

Temporary dodge. The real attack will be that those nasty big corporation Republican insurance companies conspired to raise their prices in order to kill ZeroCare. It had nothing at all to do with being forced to provide every treatment possible for a horde of uninsured people with preexisting conditions with nobody willing to pay for it.

The mainstream media have in large part turned against Obamacare

Really? The MSM I'm hearing are still faithfully spewing the administration's talking points - "everything will be just fine by the end of November."

Nope. Too many low information voters.

“Policy got canceled - insurance companies fault”

“Website doesn’t work - Republicans fault”

“Expensive Exchange policies - insurance companies fault”

“I’m voting Democrat so we can get single payer and live happily ever after like Obama promised”

Few will understand what ZeroCare is truly about until they get the bill. Our only hope of retaking the Senate in a substantive way is if we (1) stop the immigration bill, and (2) sticker shock hits the sappy idiots who think that their incomes won't see "redistribution."

The people who supported ZeroCare wanted to "feel better" with the thought that they were 'getting the insurance companies to pay for preexisting conditions' as a matter of social equity. It was nothing more than covetousness of other people's money with which to tout their "righteousness." THAT is why they need to be hit with the bill, as a matter of political and moral education. They won't even listen to a counter-argument until then.

What the GOP wants is as irrelevant in this issue as it was in funding the government piecemeal. The Democrats need this to happen.

Obama won’t listen to his own party about delaying Obamacare. The rational thing for Obama to have done was to delay the implementation at least until the end of November until the site is up and running (yeah, right)-his own deadline. He couldn’t even do that because it would admit failure.

Obama is a narcissistic person. He will ruin his party before admits he was wrong. As more people start to see their premiums rise and/or they lose their health insurance, this administration will start to head towards the bunker for the final days. All the Republicans have to do is sit back and remind people this is what they elected.
