I’d be guessing they are trying to up Christie’s % of the minority vote by a little bit, so they can spew that talking point when they foist his fat ass on us in 2016

Will this REALLY offset the conservatives they are begging to leave the party? I don't think so.

What a waste of money.

It would have been nice if the Republicans had reached out to the Conservatives a bit and supported Steve Lonegan for Senate. That was close enough that a bigger effort might have won it, and that effort certainly would have carried over to the November elections. As it is, I'm sure that they've pissed off more conservative votes than they will win among the Hispanics in Jersey City or elsewhere in the state.

Maybe antagonizing the Lonegan supporters is why they have to pick up a few new voters in Jersey City.

The point is this is what the GOPe would rather spend money on, since they don’t spend any to help conservative candidates

We need Conservatives to explain to them WHY we’re conservative, and why it would benefit them to vote for conservatives. I used to be a democrat and considered myself to be liberal. It wasn’t until I started to actually pay attention before I became conservative.

The argument used to be: 40% of the population always votes democrat and 40% always votes republican. The winner is the candidate who attracts the biggest percentage of the 20% independents. Blacks and Hispanics have never been even closely identified as independents. Money wasted.

But I thought all the Repubs had to do was telegraph their intent to pass a sweeping amnesty bill and - viola! - a new voter base.

What? You mean hispanics don’t care what the GOP does, they’re going to vote Dem anyway?

Dear GOP,

would of been nice if you had the Senatorial special election at the same time as the general election.

I’m just sayin...

Unfortunately, they weren’t willing to spend anything to help get Steve Lonegan elected.

Note that they carefully and deliberately waited until after they made sure Lonegan lost.

waste of time, they will go with who ever is handing out the FREEBIES! This supposed work ethic they have is a myth, they love the FREEBIES as much as the welfare queens. Which is why they have turned all our public hospitals and some private ones into doctor’s offices and never pay a bill.
