“So called ‘Conservatives’ will remain as disgruntled spectators on the national scene until they learn how to win elections “

Fair enough! So please tell us all just how effective has the GOPe been in taking control of either House or the Presidency? And further, when they have had majorities, thanks in no small measure to the additional conservatives the folks have managed to elect in spite of the GOPe’s negative efforts, just what have they done with their mandate? The Bush Years were a disgrace from a legislative perspective. Bush and the GOPe are wholly responsible for this march to Marxism with the RATs and FUBO! Bush “going to meet with the wounded warriors” doesn’t make up for his piss poor leadership. At the end of the day, he was a terrible president who squandered his mandate with a couple of useless wars that consumed our treasury and the precious lives of our young people needlessly. Just look how well his “nation building” has gone!

No you can’t. You can, but its wasted energy and not going to do anything to help your cause.

Politics is blood sport, period. If you aren’t ready to deal with that reality, don’t get involved with it.

Please explain how one more liberal Senate voter for the next Supreme Court nominee is good for our country.

Well, I for one and torn about this type of thing, but you asked for an explanation and I can give it a shot.

A Democrat will vote against your beliefs That's understood. A Rino Republican on the other hand will vote both for and against your beliefs, which make this seem to the casual observer as a "win" over a Dem. What is missing is that a Rino also has access you our strategies which can then be shared with the Dems. A Rino can attract other squishy Reps into a block that gains power to determine party direction. A Rino sucks up party money to support their re-election, depriving it from true conservatives. When a Dem does something against the interests of the country, it can be used as an example for why you should support Reps, but when a Rino does the same thing it works AGAINST Reps.

I don't know what the true answer is, but it's not as cut and dried as it may seem on the surface.

Who cares if he owes the IRS money. I hope he figured out a way of not paying, assuming that the story has legs. Anyone who can screw the IRS out of money can have my vote any time.

No, the new reality is that all you Kamikaze Conservatives that refused to vote for Romney because he wasn't conservative enough, or was Mormon, or whatever, effectively enabled Obama to win.

I voted for Romney, McCain, and Dole. I figured it's better to try and get some of what I want rather than nothing. However, for me those days are done. It has always bothered me that conservatives would support the "moderates" on some legislation, but when it came time to support conservatives on issues like abortion, marriage, judges, or the budget they found "high principled" reasons not to. I put up with this for a lot of years because I looked at the Rats and feared them more.

Ted Cruz changed everything. A conservative stood up for me and fought. The response from the "moderates" was to denigrate him, his motives, and undercut any chance of his strategy having a successful outcome. On top of that 87 House "moderate" Pubs voted to keep their exemption from a law that they imposed on me, my family, my relatives, my friends.

After this I contacted my local Republican office and told them to take me off their email list and that I would not be an election judge for them anymore, nor would I work the phone banks, or canvass our precinct. I will only support Tea Party candidates. Enough is enough.

Buffalo you are content to head over the cliff, the only problem you have with it is the speed or price tag.

Smug? Having watched the GOPe politicians and consultants for 40 yrs. arrogantly look down their elitist noses with utter contempt for conservatives and repeatedly tell us to set down and shut up and do what we tell you only to lose again and again and again is rather ironic don’t you think.

McConnell has sold out conservatives time and time again. Kamikaze conservatives? I don’t think so, if anything the GOPe is the kamikaze wing of the party because they know they are selling out their children, grand children and the country but nothing changes it is full speed ahead over that cliff into oblivion.

If anything the GOPe has a death wish as a party and for the country as long as their place at the feeding trough is secure.
