Get the extended concealed carry.

Then it’s just up to the individual church who carries and who doesn’t.

They were up to something, other than coming to church to worship.

My guess is they were trying to play victims of racial discrimination.

Imagine if whites did that in a black church. Imagine if they had done this in a mosque.

This happened at First Baptist Church of Panama City this past Sunday. The man is known to visit our church campus when not in jail. He got up in the beginning of the message and started yelling. It took two Police officers and several security guards to subdue the person in our church. Our pastor kept on preacher and never even paused. They dragged him out of the sanctuary and arrested him. We believe for punching the sheriff. The facts of the two incidents are very similar.

"In Texas, You will get arrested for not providing your name when they ask."

That has been known to happen, but it's not always legal. From the Texas Penal Code Chapter 38, Section 38.02:

FAILURE TO IDENTIFY.
(a) A person commits an offense if he intentionally refuses to give his name, residence address, or date of birth to a peace officer who has lawfully arrested the person and requested the information.
(b) A person commits an offense if he intentionally gives a false or fictitious name, residence address, or date of birth to a peace officer who has:
 (1) lawfully arrested the person;
 (2) lawfully detained the person; or
 (3) requested the information from a person that the peace officer has good cause to believe is a witness to a criminal offense.

That thought did cross my mind. Truly a low life plan.

They were trying to cause a racial incident and probably got very upset when it didn’t happen

The mosaic and the “living Christmas tree” are very strange

My daughter is a LEO and it happens almost every day. My whole point was, people today seem to think they don't have to identify. Then it escalates into an arrest while they protest their "rights". Check out Youtube, it's full of college kids telling other college kids to withhold ID and other info. It goes the full gamut, from arrest, to pepper spray, to full on beatings, just because they felt they had some fictitious rights they got from the internet. Why not just answer the cop's questions?

I learned very young to do my fighting in court and not on the side of the road. You will lose.

I know it happens, but I didn’t get those “fictitious rights . . . from the internet”, I got them from the Texas Criminal Statutes.

Your post quotes the laws that say you MUST identify. What rights are you claiming that you DON’T have to identify? If a cop wants you to identify, he/she has a reason. If you choose to resist, most likely trouble will ensue. I still don’t get your point. A LEO will ask your name if they have reasonable suspicion that you have something to do with what they are investigating. These church thugs were at the scene and witnesses identified them as the people of interest. Their name was requested and the trouble begins. From that point on it’s like skating downhill. The cops will cuff you, put you on the ground and search your pockets looking for ID. If they find dope or weapons, well, they should have just answered the cop in the first place. Now we get a trip downtown and get a photo taken and fingerprint. All because they had “rights” to privacy that someone told them about. Maybe they need your number for legal advice.
