WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Students at Winston-Salem State University are holding an event Thursday centered on Trayvon Martin, the teenager who was fatally shot last year by George Zimmerman.
Zimmerman was acquitted earlier this year of second-degree murder and manslaughter in Martin’s death.
The event is called Martin Had a Dream and is open to the public.
At 12 noon Thursday, a recording of 911 calls made on the night of Feb. 26, 2012 will be played at The Clocktower at WSSU.
People are asked to dress in black hoodies.
Martin had a hoodie on when he died.
Larry Little, an activist and a professor at WSSU, and Council Member Derwin Montgomery will be among a number of speakers.
At 6 p.m., there will be a night program at The Clocktower at WSSU in celebration of Martin’s life.

Are they going to have a seminar on teaching kids not to jump adults and bash their heads into sidewalks?
Little hoodied drug addict who pounded some poor losers head into the pavement got what he deserved. Poor loser turned out to be the winner because he STOOD HIS GROUND.
This is the same University that was recently accused of changing the grades of Black students in order to make it appear that Blacks were doing better than they really were.

This should be seen as nothing but a rally to threaten George Zimmerman.
Don't think he will be able to attend.
Maybe they can finally get him a headstone. I know that Cindy Sheehan’s son went without one for years.

Just an observation, if a white student on Halloween put on a black hoodie and claimed to be Treavon Martin, they would be called racist.
If a white student put on a black hoodie for this event, then all is well.
I sure wish the left would write a rule book explaining how to people doing the same thing one is racist and one is not.
It is almost like there are no rules other than, if they don’t like you, you are racist.
