Sidney Blumenthal, a close adviser to Bill and Hillary Clinton, has reportedly undertaken an email campaign to defend a controversial book written by his son that compares Israel to Nazi Germany.
The book, written by Max Blumenthal, accuses Israel of being a fascist country and has chapter titles explicitly comparing the Jewish State to Nazi Germany, such as “The Concentration Camp” and “The Night of Broken Glass.”
According to the Nation columnist Eric Alterman, who harshly reviewed the book, long-time Clinton confidant Sidney Blumenthal has sent “nasty emails” to “our mutual friends and professional acquaintances” attacking him for “telling the truth about his son’s book.”
Alterman’s review accused the younger Blumenthal of producing a “carelessly constructed” argument that is little better than “a propaganda tract” and “could have been published by the Hamas Book-of-the-Month Club (if it existed).”
According to Alterman, Sidney Blumenthal has been a friend and Alterman have had friendly relations “for the past 30 years without any open animosity between us.” Alterman said he worried that his negative review would provoke an email campaign against him from Blumenthal, which, according to Alterman, is a tactic he “so often” employs “about individuals of whom he disapproves.”

Anyone surprised? People who have allowed themselves to become close and lockstep supportive of Clinton have always been delusional and irrational. Irrational to the degree that they would blame their fellow Jews for another Holocaust.
If Max is old enough to write a book and have it published, he should be able to defend it, instead of having his sleazeball daddy attack its critics.

Max Blumenthal is basically a self-hating Jewish sociopath, while his father was just a plain run-of-the-mill far-left journalistic anti-American hack.
For Max to be attacked by Eric Alterman, himself a marxist (worked for the old Maoist weekly, US publication, the “Guardian”, among other marxist groups), Blumenthal had to be really way-out.
This is part of the old communist internal ethnic feuds which resulted in the Communist Party USA having two Jewish factions. One was the Jewish Commission of the CPUSA, which published the Moscow-line “Jewish Affairs” while the Jewish ethnic identity (not necessarily “religious identity” faction) published “Jewish Currents”, an anti-anti-semitism marxist magazine (Rep. Bella Abzug was a contributor to JC).
This dual “Jewish identity” conundrum today is manifested here between Blumenthal and Alterman. But don’t worry, there were other “Blumenthals” out there in the recent past, including Argentinian communist writer Jacobo Timmerman and Ariel Dorfman (who might be of another nationality, don’t remember), as well as the late Israel Shahak, a Holocaust survivor I knew. Shahak turned very anti-Israel when Menachem Begun, a victim of both the Nazis and Communists, took over the Israeli government leadership.
Over the years, Shahak evolved into a hardcore marxist and I believe he joined either the Communist Party of Israel (CPI - Moscow-aligned) or perhaps Matzpen (a Trotskyite marxist party).
What I have tried to present here is a little look into the internal fighting among the marxist and/or psychopathic Left re not only Israel, but also America.
My point of view: Let them both fight to the death and then intellectually kill the survivor.
As we say in Yiddish, both are “Fastichta Dreck” (serious garbage) and would not want to be associated with by people with just half a brain.
