President Barack Obama’s approval rating has declined to an all-time low as public frustration with Washington and pessimism about the nation’s direction continue to grow, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
Just 42 percent approve of the president’s job performance, which is down five points from earlier this month. By comparison, 51 percent disapprove of his job in office -- tied for his all-time high.
The NBC/WSJ pollsters argue that no single reason explains Obama’s lower poll standing. Rather, they attribute it to the accumulation of setbacks since the summer -- allegations of spying by the National Security Agency, the debate over Syria’s chemical weapons, the government shutdown and now intense scrutiny over the problems associated with the health care law’s federal website and its overall implementation.

Those events have combined to erase some of the advantage the president gained with polls showing most Americans blame congressional Republicans for the shutdown.
And for the first time in the survey, even Obama’s personal ratings are upside-down, with 41 percent viewing him a favorable light and 45 percent viewing him negatively.

You think that what Belle22 describes in post 102 is mere "anecdotal evidence," but that voting "statistics" aren't flawed? You want to talk about evidence, READ CONSUMER COMMENTS on MSM sites such as LA Times and other left-biased media. I've been doing it for many years, and most of the time, the majority of people commenting, while they don't describe themselves as Republicans or conservatives, a) loath Obama, b) loath what they call "liberalism," and c) loath the MSM for its blatant leftist bias.
It's usually about two to one. I believe my own lyin' eyes instead of voting "statistics."

And judging by reader comments at most regular mainstream news sites, about two-thirds of Americans think the knee-pad media STINKS.
My reading over the years of consumer comments at left-leaning MSM news sites, has convinced me that vote fraud is far more widespread and significant than most media skeptics (that would be most Americans) think.
And who, pray tell, put those treacherous cowards and traitors on the R "side" in office? PEOPLE WHO VOTED IN FEAR did. People like me who stupidly held their noses and voted for candidates they knew stunk to high heaven but did so in with the vain wish that they were voting "against" the Democrat. Things stink when they're rotten or toxic, and your nose warns you to steer clear for good reason. From now on, I'm HEEDING my nose, not holding it. When we start voting such that leftists, R or D, lose, then freedom will start winning.

The ease & comfort w which they blatantly stole Franken’s Senate seat is doubtless a big part of what emboldened their subsequent nationwide cheating bonanza. They saw how painless & profitable bold, in-your-face theft cd be, & they were off and running. Or as the Bible puts it, ‘Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind’.
