New Yorker Mag Cover Slams Obama and Sebelius By Noel Sheppard Created 11/01/2013 - 11:10am

Don't look now, but even New Yorker magazine is piling on the disaster that is ObamaCare.

Take a gander at the cover for the issue to hit newstands Monday:

For our younger readers that might not get all of the jokes here, the computer appears to be one of the first available to the public in the '70s.

The technician on the left is trying to insert a floppy disc which probably ceased being used about ten years ago or so.

The hammer and screw driver should be obvious.

As for Obama, he's holding one of the original cellphones dating back to the '80s.

Add it all up, the folks at New Yorker are making the case that when it comes to technology, this administration is in the dark ages.

The one thing people like Obama can’t take is ridicule. He’s used it as a weapon against everybody else so turn about is fair play. (”We have things called aircraft carriers now.” Really.)

The cellphone looks like “The Brick”.

The computer looks like the IBM 5150, the original IBM PC, which was introduced in 1981 and contained the Intel 8088 cpu running at 4.77 mhz and 16-256kb of RAM.

Funny, but I’m sure it’s racist in some way that will be pointed out shortly.

Desktop computers were not readily available until the early 80s. They were costly. It wasn't until South Korea started flooding the US market in the late 80s with desktops that the prices became more affordable.

The first desktop that I ever used was at work. Dept Head bought a TRS-80 Model II. No one would touch it, because they were scared of it. I took the technical reference manual home every night to try to figure the dang thang out. There was no such thing as training classes or owner's/operator's manual. The unit, with 2 floppy drives and an 8-1/2 x 11 inch dot matrix printer, cost around $7,000.

With an expansion card you could get it up to 640 kB, and no one will need more than that.

The Apple II was sold in 1977. Apple I was before that but so few were sold it isn't a fair comparison.

Do you want to know why ObamaCare is so expensive?

It pays off the moochers who want "free helfcare" and the women who want abortions and "free" contraceptives.

That's why.

Our first household computer was a Commodore 64. That was before windows. You had to learn DOS to Run:/ stuff.

“See how I can close my left eye as I squeeze my thumb and forefinger together at the same time like this? This is why Obamacare and the website are working so well.”

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said, “We have to pass it, to find out what’s in it.”

A physician called into radio show and said, “That’s the definition of a stool sample.”

Very inaccurate!

The Geek should be using reel-to-reel tapes for data input, not 5-1/4” floppies!

8” floppies at best.

The WH directive to MSM is ‘Emphasize technical difficulties to distract from our blatant lying, racketeering, and treason.’

After all, technical difficulties aren’t intentional. They happen to ‘good people.’

Without the epic Obamacare website meltdown, somebody might notice the queer moslem waging economic warfare upon the USA and winning.

Telling 300 million people ‘you can keep your doctor, period’ 99 times over 3 years, then saying HA HA FOOLED YOU either flies or it doesn’t.

If it flies, we don’t deserve any better than a piece of garbage leading us.

I think they used these.
