Richard Nixon did the same. He was in there (hospital) for phlebitis and joked about how he got out of there ASAP before they killed him

Thank you for the updates as to where you are at present Jim.
I have been holding back on sending you a personal mail asking as to what is up.
In order to give you some space and time as to how to share with us
your current situation.
Sure sounds to me like you "responsibly" took a stand. It is not like you cannot now proceed with required medical assistance
to regain your health, and eventually find the means to become more
mobile by yourself.
In the near future.
In this I hope as so many at FR that you will with HIS tender hand,
literally make a full come back in both spirit as well as body.
God's very best to you and yours Jim. George

I hate hospitals — and that crud is not food!! Glad you escaped.
You have the most marvelous attitude to your new disability, and it obviously comes from your GRATITUDE. Gratitude (mostly to Gd but to everyone else too) is the key to happiness, and you sound happy. Beautiful weather here in SoCal which I hope you have up there, too. So glad you are free! Hope you get more fave foods today.

Jim, I’m going to celebrate your escape by kicking $75 into the fundraising kitty.
Wish I could drop more this time around, but it’s this O-conomy we’re in :(

What a wonderful, joyful report.
So glad to hear an upbeat report, and how well you are doing.
Nothing like being home, is it?
