It’s always critical habitat, yet any real scientist will tell you that the earth’s biological history is one extinction after another. Evolution calls that a benefit. The net result of every known extinction is...nothing. Who are we to stop it?

I mean if you and I were to dine on Narwhal steaks (I suspect you’d like yours medium-well just going by your pseudonym and posting history (not a scientific study, mind you)) cut from the last living specimen, while happy children danced around a pole made from its tusk, what would happen? Would the earth suddenly end?

Sure, they’d be celebrating on the Benthic level and breeding like mad, but why shouldn’t those poor, light-starved Benthic dwellers get their chance? Who’s lookin out for them? Not your surface dwelling Watermelons, that’s for sure.
