‘Snowden testimony would be a disaster’
Deutsche Welle ^ | 11/02/2013 | Gero Schließ

Posted on 11/02/2013 10:38:58 PM PDT by Olog-hai

“It would be a disaster for American-German relations if Snowden came to Germany and publicly testified before the Bundestag.” What Green MP Christian Ströbele ultimately is hoping for after his surprise visit with Edward Snowden in Moscow would be a nightmare for Stephen Szabo of the German Marshall Fund, as well for the Obama administration.

The relationship between the two countries is headed towards “a deep, downward spiral,” says Szabo. This must be stopped. If Snowden were to come to Germany with official blessing, the situation would escalate further, warns the long-time Germany expert and vice-president of the German Marshall Fund in Washington. …

When they get done with the military, the CIA, the NSA, religion, education, science, government... there won' be anything left to believe in.

Anybody who believes in the official versions of the above is a tool.

We have to smash the hallowed institutions and build our own Utopia from there. It will require preternatural gifts of persuasion. We'll need many such in 2014 and 2016!

Snowden is doing a lot to dismantle our intel and Obama gets no responsibility in the game.
Snowden is singing like a canary, and Obama acts like Sgt Shultz, he knows nothing

I am calling BS

His Twitter feed is schizophrenic. Definately one of a kind. Ranting about the farm and being trained to resist scopolamine, ragging on Alex Jones etc. He's right about the NSA clustermating but I think he's a right red little fellow.

Even the American Sheeple are not so stupid as to knowingly elect Sgt Shultz as their President.

It can only be good for them to come to realize, in the fullness of time, that that's more or less what they did last November!

Obama's mission all along has been to take the United States down a peg or two.

The problem, of course, is that, absent a wave of international approbation (which Snowden is helping to torpedo), he thereby takes himself down a peg or two. Or three.

Couldn't happen to a nicer Chicagoan (glad I don't live there anymore).

I honestly believe Obama has moles in the intel community and that he is using the tools even as he is dismantling the tools so that the next guy cant get his hands on them..

purely conjecture on my part, and partly a wild socially scientific guess

“Am I to believe that the top 20 leaders in the word are dopes?”

Yes. Can you point to one who isn’t? I can think of possibly 2 exceptions, but the rest? Dopes isn’t a strong enough epithet.

It looks like the point of his “scopolamine” Tweet was to say that you might be labeled a terrorist for saying something like that.

I think Snowden is a libertarian. They look schizophrenic to either a liberal or a conservative, because half their positions come from the other side of the aisle. But I’ve never believed there can be only two “sane” political philosophies. To me, conservatism is the least ideological philosophy, because it primarily looks at actual results and bases its positions on common sense and practicality. Both liberals and libertarians get caught up in “bumper sticker” beliefs and try to reshape reality to fit their beliefs instead of focusing on what actually works.

BINGO! He is an agent on behalf of the other agent. He baited Americans with cries of 'domestic spying' then dropped the hammer on our activities abroad to undermine ALL of our allied relationships.

Isn't it a much simpler theory to believe that he is simply against spying on any average citizen or ally, i.e. anyone who is not known to be a threat to us? I don't agree with him on spying on foreign government officials, I think we should do that. But this is a dog-and-pony show between the allies anyway. Every ally knows they're being spied on by us, and they're doing the same thing to us. Their faux shock at it is just for domestic consumption and part of the game.
