Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.

Yeah, all those new 'taxpayers' are just as likely to walk away with around $5,000 in EITC payments as they are to become new taxpayers. Not that a good number of illegals aren't already finangling EITC and child tax credits to the tune of thousands per year.

Statements such as that remind folks that Rand's libertarian tendencies will at times always cause him to take unacceptable positions to many conservatives on key issues.

I have received several mailings from both the NRSC and the NRCC in the past couple of months. The go right straight into the trash without being opened.

I get their phony surveys too. I don't throw these away. Rather, I write nasty messages on their paperwork, and mail it back to them, on their dime. And I leave my name and address that are on their paperwork intact. Screw them.

I recently got a mailing from the “Office of the Speaker” aka Boehner. It was purported to be a survey but was actually a fund raising gimmick. They also wanted me to pay for the stamps to send it back to “save them money”.
