Share Your Experience With Health Insurance Exchanges
New York Times ^ | 10/1/2013 | Staff

In October, some of the first tangible aspects of the Affordable Care Act made their debut, allowing millions of Americans to start signing up for new health insurance options, Times journalists covering the rollout would like to hear how you have been affected by it.

If you have shopped for insurance through one of the new state-run insurance exchanges — online markets where people can browse health plans and see if they qualify for federal subsidies — please tell us about your experience by answering the questions below. Your comments and contact information will not be published, but a reporter or editor from The Times may follow up with you directly to learn more about your story.

I STRONGLY urge everyone with an Obamacare horror story to follow this link and contribute their information to the New York Times poll. Let these leftists see what's going on for real. Don't just let people with "positive" obamacare experiences skew the information the NYT is gathering.

Let's inundate the NYT with reality. Forward this link to everyone you know too.

I do advise not to give out a phone number or your real name. You can also choose to use a throw-away email.

The information I contributed was that my wife was unable to create an account on the Colorado obamacare site, but she WAS able to get plan prices. Bronze price for her was $650.00/month and $6,500.00 annual out-of-pocket with no subsidies because my employer offers me insurance but not her. She would have to divorce me to get subsidies under that circumstance. She's elected to pay the fine and forgo insurance because, financially, that's her only viable choice. Thanks a lot, Obama.

If I assume correctly....no FReeper in their right mind would go NEAR that horrid excuse for a webpage. In order to get a price for a plan, you have to give them information that is CHECKED...and it’s a LOT of information that you might not want others to know. I hear tell it has the security of a sieve.

Translation: We will publish the 3 success stories, ignore the 10,000 failure stories and call it “hard-hitting journalism”

Let's inundate the NYT with reality.

Won't matter. Leftism is a religion to these people. No amount of Reality can penetrate the consciousness of the true believers. Not even people dying in the streets is going to shake their faith in Big Brother, who is their god.

Uh Huh....

Just because the Obamacare Database doesn’t work BY DESIGN, doesn’t mean their other more sinister databases don’t work...

Colorado did their own website, not healthcare.gov, and you could get accurate pricing information without giving anything but zip and age.

For sure they’ll do that if they get only “success” stories.

Why doesn’t your employer insure her?

“Why doesn’t your employer insure her?”

Employers are cutting back insurance especially now that dependent childre are covered until they’re 26.

We’ll insure your kid but not your spouse!

IIRC, they recently modified it so you don’t need a account to view prices.

Same in CT, though they ask if you are pregnant.

They’re fishing for good stories.

It’s the NYT - you really expect them to report anything bad about Obama or his healthcare plan?

They can’t publish any bad ones if they don’t get them.

They never have. Do they need a reason?

VA, Affordable Care Act and You

What is the Affordable Care Act?

The Affordable Care Act, also known as the health care law, was created to expand access to coverage, control health care costs and improve health care quality and care coordination. The health care law does not change VA health benefits or Veterans’ out-of-pocket costs.

Three things you should know:
1 VA wants all Veterans to receive health care that improves their health and well-being.
2 If you are enrolled in VA health care, you don’t need to take additional steps to meet the health care law coverage standards. The health care law does not change VA health benefits or Veterans’ out-of-pocket costs.
3 If you are not enrolled in VA health care, you can apply at any time.

Veterans Enrolled in VA Health Care

The good news is that Veterans enrolled in VA health care programs have health coverage that meets the new health care law’s standard. You do not have to take any additional steps to have health coverage. Read more if enrolled…

Veterans Not Enrolled in VA Health Care

Veterans not currently enrolled in VA health care program can apply for enrollment at any time. Read more about enrolling…

Family Members

VA offers health care benefits for certain family members of Veterans through programs such as the Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs (CHAMPVA) and the Spina Bifida program. Read more about VA family programs…

Your family members who are not enrolled in a VA health care program should use the Marketplace to get coverage.

Additional Health Care Law Information

We understand you may have questions about the health care law and how it might affect you and your family. We compiled basic information about the health care law to help you make informed decisions about your health care. Let us know if you have questions regarding the health care law and your VA health care at 1-877-222-VETS (8387). After all, ensuring you receive quality health care is not just our obligation, it’s also our privilege.
