Ted Cruz - Tom Tancredo, and the Salvation of America
Americans for a Free Republic ^ | Oct 5, 2013 | Nelson Hultberg

Posted on 11/06/2013 8:15:23 AM PST by Nelson Hultberg

Anybody with half a brain these days knows America is no longer the country of her Founders’ intent. But the question plaguing us all is: How do we stop the destruction taking place? What can we do to regain the limited government propriety we once enjoyed? Is there a means to regain our sanity, or is it all hopeless?

Our perspective at AFR (Americans for a Free Republic www.afr.org) has been clear from the beginning. America’s troubles stem from disastrous ideology being taught in the schools and implemented in Washington. Such ideology has created a one-party state to govern us, a Demopublican monopoly that has grown into a Godzilla to dominate our lives more dreadfully with each passing decade.

Despite the domination, however, all is not lost. There is a way to fight this beast. AFR has just published a Special Report, “How Tea Party Patriots Can Break the Demopublican Monopoly and Win in 2016” (linked at the end of this article). It explains the essence of our strategy to break the stranglehold that the Democrat-Republican monolith has over American politics.

This doesn’t mean creating a three-party political system. America needs a two-party system, but we no longer have two parties. We have, in America, only the Demopublican Party comprised of a Democrat wing and a Republican wing. As Patrick Buchanan says, “Two wings of the same bird of prey.” Both wings preach and implement big, monstrous government. Thus our goal is to establish a SECOND PARTY and break the Demopublican monopoly that dominates American politics today....

Conservatives need to rethink their support for the neocon dominated GOP. This article puts forth a viable alternative to "Big Government Conservatism." It shows us how to dramatically change the political paradigm in America and restore the Founders' vision.

"We, the People" will not forget how a so-called "moderate" and powerful group who may call themselves "moderate conservatives" are influencing the future freedom and success of our grandchildren and their grandchildren by their years of yielding up liberty under the guise of "moderation"!

Do they every read the "Declaration of Independence," marking the day when the world changed? Do they understand that, had the men and women of that day been "moderate" and compliant in deferring to coercive government power over their lives America would never have come to be the refuge for oppressed individuals from all over the world?

Message to Republicans:

"Posterity! you will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom! I hope you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in Heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it." - John Adams, Letter to Abigail Adams, 1777

Republicans, you are having what may be the last chance to preserve "freedom" for future generations! Moderation in the face of arrogant, determined men and women who believe that "fundamentally changing" America from its foundations in freedom into a model based on the Old World ideas from which it separated and distinguished itself--that kind of "moderation" is just cowardice disguised.

That Virginians, living in the land of the Author of the Declaration of Independence and "father" of the Constitution, would choose a political hack tied to the unprincipled agents of such "fundamental change," is shameful and illustrative of the degree of constitutional illiteracy which "progressive" education brought about.

Tom can’t even win here in Colorado.

Quit burdening leaders like Cruz with association to “Johnny one note” folks like Tom.

That’s flat out BS. Tom won 4 Congressional elections in a row and then retired. Sounds like a “winner” to me.

I have read through your link, and have to disagree with the approach. I do not see it as successful; it presupposes that the window for political correction is still open. It is not.

More productive would be the study of Tito, Dudayev and other partisan leaders for internalization of future response opportunities in an alternate State enforcement structure.

Bet the Repub establishment, locally and nationally, treats Tancredo as they did Cuccinelli in Virginia.

Until we are willing to pledge our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor so that our posterity (and not ourselves) will reap the benefits of liberty, trusting in our Creator with our lives dedicated to him - then the answer is NO, we have no hope. I hope you all had the chance to hear Ted Cruz’s father speak at the men’s prayer breakfast (posted on Right Scoop). An awesome message. He and his son are the type of people we need to fight this fight. Also, Bill Whittle’s talk on that same Right Scoop page was something every American needs to hear regarding the Frankfurt School and the narrative of the left. We may never restore our nation but we never will if we do not try. But “try” means returning to the source of strength that our Founders believed in (Whittle mentions this in his talk, as well). I am not at all confident that most people, even here on freerepublic, believe this. Most are looking for a political solution. But it’s the heart’s of people in our nation that need to be changed. They have been brain washed and sold a false gospel. That usually happens one life at a time - being touched by God’s love and forgiveness through another’s life. But it also means turning from sin and evil as defined by the scriptures. Socialism is a counterfeit Christianity where folks can establish their own righteousness and feel good about themselves without really changing. Really, we seem to be at the beginning of the end. The beast Caliphate empire is rising from the ashes of history. Israel is surrounded by her enemies. Look at Great Britain, they are on their way to Sharia Law and we are not at all far behind. When that happens, real heads will roll off of real bodies right here in the good ole US of A and real persecution will be at hand on a level never seen before. I don’t think we have much time left. Let the right wing, religious fanatic, tea party flaming begin.

Neocons are simply “progressives” with a few moderately conservative views.

I think you have answered it very precisely. Our culture is not one of preserving something for our kids and grand kids - it is ALL ABOUT INSTANT GRATIFICATION FOR ME ME ME ME.

And that is why it is over. Remember all the conservative talkers stating that if the GOP didn't win the 2012 election it was the end of Amerika? The very next week after they all got through drying their tears, it was all about "How do we win the 2014 elections". If you leave it to Rove and the GOP-e they will never ever win another election. Last night proved a very important point.

There comes a point when it is prudent to admit defeat and forge a different strategy - that is all I will say about alternatives.

Absolutely correct and beautifully written.

We should still fight with all our might using the political rights we still retain, but without a MAJOR repentance, revival and reformation of thoughts, attitudes, and character and a new fear of the Lord, we are lost. If a majority of people, or even a bare 50% of people in this country are lost, selfish, and worshipping the socialist God and believing in the socialist religion**, our country will continue electing godless, depraved, criminals who will use that socialist religion to continue to gain power for themselves.
(** I define the Socialist religion as this: if I force others around me by law to pay for poor people’s healthcare, then I am absolved of my sins of unbelief, abortion, perversion, abandoning my responsibilities as a father or mother, blasphemy, etc. and I am now a good person.)
