IMO, the term 'African American' when used to describe someone's skin color is itself racist. Theresa Heinz Kerry was born in Mozambique: does that make her (who is as lily white as they come) 'African American'?
IIRC, it was the Revvvvrund Jacksssssssn who about 30 years ago decreed 'African American' to be the proper p.c. term. What the hell was wrong with 'black'?
