Claim: 'Unions May Get Health Law Tax Relief' [Even more Obamacare hypocrisy!]

It looks like labor unions might be getting tax relief from Obamacare, according to a report from kaiserhealthnews.org.

"Weeks after denying labor’s request to give union members access to health-law subsidies, the Obama administration is signaling it intends to exempt some union plans from one of the law’s substantial taxes," reads the report.

Buried in rules issued last week is the disclosure that the administration will propose exempting “certain self-insured, self-administered plans” from the law’s temporary reinsurance fee in 2015 and 2016.

That’s a description that applies to many Taft-Hartley union plans acting as their own insurance company and claims processor, said Edward Fensholt, a senior vice president at Lockton Cos., a large insurance broker.

Insurance companies and self-insured employers that hire outside claims administrators would still be liable for the fee, which starts at $63 per insurance plan member next year and is projected to raise $25 billion over three years.

The biggest opponents of Obamacare are NOT Republicans and Libertarians. The biggest opponents of Obamacare are the Democrats and unions who supported its passage, but who later asked for and received all sorts of exemptions and waivers for themselves.

Makes my blood boil. Why wouldn’t Congressional Republicans try to block this ongoing illegal tampering with “settled law”? It’s not like they will ever get any political support from the unions.

I wonder how much the exemptions affect the cost of premiums borne by the un-favored and un-subsidized?

Obama gets away with this stuff because he knows any legal challenge would take at least two years to wind its way to SCOTUS.

Has the Supreme Court ruled on these exempt groups?

When Obama and the democrats get finished giving waivers, preferential treatment and subsidies to all of their supporters and professional victim groups, we will end up with about 25 million white, heterosexual, non-union taxpayers who do not work for the federal government carrying the entire financial burden for ObamaScare.

This is Exactly what the law was designed to do, folks.

Create a nationwide PATRONAGE SYSTEM for Democrats. Support Dems, and get “Exemptions”. Don’t support Dems, and it will harm you financially.

“The Chicago Way” taken National. Hopey-Changey, folks.
Anybody still glad they stayed home in 2008 “To prove a point!”?

Senate Confirms Richard Griffin as General Counsel of NLRB
Griffin’s confirmation is notable because it marks the first time in over three years that the NRLB’s general counsel will act with Senate approval and consent. Griffin’s nomination, however, was somewhat surprising since he had been one of the board members whose January 2012 recess appointment was struck down by the D.C. Circuit’s Noel Canning ruling (and which is set for review by the Supreme Court this session).

After the decision, Obama renominated Griffin for his NRLB position, but eventually withdraw Griffin based on opposition from Senate Republicans and as part of the overall deal to avoid a dramatic change in the Senate’s filibuster rules.

Indeed, none of them share their ill earned wealth. To be exempt one must be part of a lobby plantation as a slave of sorts.

The real produced wealth by able bodied and minded people is getting destroyed. People will be starved or forced to work in a penal system of some sort.

It really is a WTF moment.

The system is collapsing, but Obama wants an excuse to send his IRS goons to force the pillars to support this bull. He will seize properties, prevent people from having passports and the whole lock down nine yard.

Meanwhile evil liberals will chant and be happy secretly.

"Congressional Republicans"

Who?

Oh, they're too busy fighting the TeaParty to be concerned w/ the outright, in-your-face corruption of the beltway syndicate.
