RNC Statement on Gov. Christie’s Re-Election Victory

Posted November 5, 2013

WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus released the following statement on Governor Christie’s re-election:

“Congratulations to Governor Christie on his impressive re-election victory tonight,” said Chairman Priebus. “During his first term, the governor proved that Republican principles get results—even in a state the pundits like to call a ‘blue state.’ He brought fiscal responsibility to Trenton, and he brought tax relief to families. He put students before special interests, and in everything he stayed true to his word.

“In this race Governor Christie earned significant support among minority voters. That’s a testament to the success of his results-oriented leadership and an inclusive campaign. During this race, the RNC worked alongside the Christie campaign to engage early and often with Hispanic, African American and Asian voters.

“Governor Christie ran an excellent race, but more importantly, he’s been a successful governor. New Jersey residents know he’s a man they can trust, and I’m confident he will continue to deliver results for the Garden State in his second term.”

When the RNC calls for money, tell them no, that if Christy is the kind of candidate that they support as opposed to Cuccinelli, you will send your donations directly to specific candidates.

“Hey look at us, at least we didn’t screw that up!”

I place much much less importance on Christy’s win as far as being a masterfully-executed whatever. He has a certain Jerseyish personal appeal that IMO was going to overcome the NJ-Blue tendency.

They gave no help in Virginia, they deserve only disdain.
Oh, and if one FRer says “we must support Christie for the GOP nomination, because he is the only guy who will win by beating Hilliary”.....my Sicilian heritage will come to the surface.

(That’s why we had McCain and Romney)

So. The RNC wants some credit for helping to re-elect a loudmouthed, fat-assed blowhard who damned near French Kissed Obama during the Sandy Aftermath and helped him get re-elected. Just effing ducky....

Way to go RNC.....

For me, they get partial credit for Christie’s re-election. They also get partial credit for Cucinelli’s defeat. Both are negatives in my mind.

The RNC Wants Partial Credit for Chris Christie's Re-Election

And they can have it, but they also have to take three times the credit for Cucinelli's loss.

they should get it. The democrats did not want to run against him. why would they? He works for their interests. The RNC is all about this kind of action. I give them credit.

I hope the RNC gets credit for Cuccinnelli’s loss. It’s theirs.

Fu*k the GOP-e,... and I have been a Republican all my life and have even run for office under their banner. They'll never get another dime from me and none of their endorsed candidates will get my vote either unless they are genuine conservatives.

I've had it with these political whores.

Does the RNC really think anything will left of Krispy, if nominated for the GOP ticket, when the media is done with him? Apparently he has no shortage of skeletons in his closet. This guy is both literally and figuratively a FAT target. He won’t even win his home state. The RNC has to know this and I can only surmise they have no interest in winning back the presidency.

The RNC already earned partial credit for Terry McAuliffe’s election victory in Virginia, now they are trying to horn in on Christie’s win.

Just shows how sick the GOP has become. Christie’s election as a Republican is a disgrace.

The RNC can take all the credit, and all of the bills. They can dress Christie up like the Pillsbury doughboy, and bounce him out come the 2015 primaries. I don’t expect better sense from them.
