Ted Cruz spent several days visiting in Texas -- now he's heading to Iowa.

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz took a post-shutdown lap through his home state of Texas this week, appearing before crowds that overlooked the fact that the Republican who led the charge to kill money for President Barack Obama's health care law had failed.

Ted Cruz failed?

Hell, everything that he warned about has come to pass. One short month later, even some Democrats are openly talking about delaying the individual mandate.

Enjoying watching Cruz move forward...I think he simply blows off the Liberal Interpretations flaunted by the media ...perhaps a pause a comment then he’s off again....smart man.

If I thought vote fraud wasn't ruling the day regarding the US presidential elections, I'd vote for Ted Cruz in a heart beat. Aswell, Sarah Palin and Mike Lee. I even like Rand Paul but I do not agree with his support for reelecting Mitch McConnell since McConnell is clearly one the problems in the people's efforts to rid ourselves of the ruling elite establishment in DC.

Why is it that every time someone steps into the state of Iowa, they are said to be running for president? Sarah visited IA several times and she didn’t run. (as painful as this is to say - I’m glad she didn’t run in 2012. The fraud was too rampant for her to overcome). If its meant to be - she will run - I’d be just as happy with Ted.

Ted Cruz failed?

I guess Paul Revere failed too. After all, the British came anyway...

I hear you about Rand Paul.

Of more concern to me, is that Rand Paul has his own Amnesty plan, which in my mind, puts him in the same crappy pile as Marco Rubio.

Keep Cristie away from Cruz. he’ll sit on him to get him out of the way. Cristie is already talking like the nomination is his.

Good point! It's hard not to "fail" when you have the likes of turncoat John McCain on the same team shooting you in the back.

They’d spend a fortune just widening the White House doors and enlarging the Oval Office. Cristie should stay where he’s at.

It’s all in how well they can split the conservative primary vote.

That seems to be an advantage this time. Who is going to be there to split the conservative vote from Cruz? I know Rand will be in there just like Ron was, but it seemed like the real split in the primary was between Gingrich and Santorum. I don’t think the social conservatives will go with Santorum over Cruz, especially when you look at the Christian causes Cruz has fought for in court in his pre-Senate career. And it seems Cruz will get all the thunder from articulating conservative principles well in the debates that Gingrich did. So it should be a pretty solid one-on-one battle between Cruz and Christie from the start, with Rand peeling off the usual supply of kooky voters who want Iran to get nukes.

Whether Cruz can survive the non-stop onslaught of Drudge, FOX, and “conservative” commentators saying Christie is the most “electable” one is another story. What we can’t have is the true conservatives withholding their endorsements until the last minute or after Iowa. Gingrich’s endorsements came way too late last time.

"but I do not agree with his support for reelecting Mitch McConnell"

If he wants to run for president he can't be making enemys in the party. Don't get me wrong I'm NOT a McConnel fan.

According to the approval ratings of the congressional establishment in DC it is at 9% approval. And due to the left’s propaganda machine, that leaves the republican establishment in DC lower than 9% approval. Thus the truly conservative minded people across this nation, especially to the ever growing Tea Party minded folks, McConnell is a RINO who needs to go and if RP wants to boost his own favorability, wouldn’t it make since for RP to get as far away from McConnell as possible? If RP is concerned about his congressional RINO colleague’s support, he’s in trouble already.
