Nearly 250,000 Colorado healthcare plans cancelled under Obamacare

DENVER – There are nearly 250,000 Coloradans whose health care policies have been or will be cancelled as a result of the Affordable Care Act, the state’s Dept. of Insurance announced on Wednesday.

So far, just 3,408 Coloradans have purchased new insurance plans on the exchange; many more, 34,168 Coloradans, have enrolled in Medicaid since the program expanded under the law.

“To have almost a hundred health plan cancellations for every exchange sign up in Colorado under Obamacare is exponentially worse than even the most extreme skeptic could have predicted,” said Kelly Maher, executive director of the group Compass Colorado.

Guess Who.

I watched RedEye last night too. Pretty funny. Thanks for posting that — I woke up this a.m. and I couldn’t remember what the word was that she fouled up so badly.

I’ve thought all along that more people would lose their insurance than would be those getting it for the first time.

And these were the ones that were trying to be responsible for their lives. No wonder Obama hates them

The states that didn’t expand Medicare are the ones who will come out ahead, if that is possibly in this fiasco. In three years, when the Feds. stop picking up the tab for the expanded Medicare enrollees...those states r going to be hurting. Too many lazy, unwilling to work people on Medicaid, and now more signing up. Trust me, I personally know several. Future lifelong Democrat voters.

It’s MediCAID, not Medicare, which Obamacare was supposed to make the States expand. They are separate programs.

But the Supreme Court said they didn’t have to, so 26 states aren’t doing it.

Medicaid, not Medicare

Sorry to sound nitpicky but we have to use the correct terms if we’re going to speak to others about this fiasco.

The other fringe benefit for those states is people eligible for expanded Medicaid eligibility can move to them. I hope these are states that need more poor people who are looking for something for nothing.

250,000 thousand people losing insurance in Colorado is 4% of the total population of Colorado.
That’s a high percentage, it’s alarming and a very bad sign of things to come.

It may be the one gem the Supreme Court gave us. I am so glad my State didn’t do it, Oklahoma.

Well, gee, now DeGette is jumping on the obama lie-through-your teeth bandwagon too. The cancellations have nothing to do with “contractual obligations” and everything to do with the fact that KommieKare has simply outlawed all of those plans, thus forcing their cancellation. Diane knows all of this of course, which means, like Obama and all of the other lying Rats, her lies are knowingly and egregiously false, not simply a matter of ignorance.

No surprise about DeGette lying. She’s a Commie of the first order.

No, transplants from those northeast and rust belt states voted for Obama. The states that lost congressional seats due to fleeing population. Lots of left coasters too. A native Coloradan is an endangered species.

We have been Californicated by incoming progressives, just like California was 30 years ago.

Texans, you are next.

All those Obama voters that cheered on the destruction of this country with ObamaCare are the ones screaming the loudest. We warned people of the consequences of ObamaCare. We warned them specifically of these results, specifically. Yet, they voted for Obama twice.

This country has become too stupid to live. Prepare for a violent end as this will explode in everyone’s faces.
