George Washington hosted a small convention at his Mount Vernon home in 1785. Subsequent events lead to the Federal convention of 1787.
It is no small symbolic matter that Indiana state Senator David Long petitioned other states to send delegates to Mount Vernon.

Bullcrap. Nothing to change. A few things to change back like the 17th amendment.

Not just no but HELL NO!
Its bad enough how the constitution been “interpreted”, can you imagine if, even with good intentions, its was reopened for change?

I wish the title of the article hadn’t included the words “Constitutional Convention” as it’s kind of misleading . Other than that, good article and kudos to Indiana for getting this started.

The Fruits of Mark Levin's book are beginning to blossom.
He did mention a week or so ago, 10 states have serious working being done and another 10 starting up.
This is the 1st public debut to my knowledge of efforts moving forward...

The Supreme Court has already rewritten the Constitution.
I would rather the people do it through their elected representatives.

Almost every time an amendment has been made, it has unintended consequences. Between amendments and courts legislating from the bench, there is no doubt that the original Constitution isn’t being followed.
I have severe reservations about a Constitutional Convention. I don’t trust most of the politicians/people these days to help the situation, especially in a process that doesn’t have any rules to begin with.
The politicians these days just ignore the rules, and make stuff up and do what they want anyway. And what they want is not good for individual liberty, and the LSM so far seems to be able to sway the majority of the people to vote against the interest of liberty.

I’m adding this to my support-for-now list. The hurdle of passing any amendment would be high, and it might be a good way to fix what’s wrong with how The Constitution has been mis-interpreted.

This is an idiot idea.
There is not a single person in American political life today that I’d trust with improving on what we have.
All this talk reminds me of how many on the right thought term limits would be great until the GOP won the majority in 1994.
Face it folks we simply don’t have anyone who could possibly do better than the Founders.

Articles that need to be changed in the US Constitution:
16th: Eliminate the income tax permanently.
17th: State legislatures appointing Senators.
Some items that should be clarified or modified:
Precisely define who is a natural born citizen of the United States.
Term limits for all Representatives and Senators.
Five terms for a Congressman & two terms for Senators.
Sunset provisions on all tax laws. (They must voted on every two years in a new bill submitted to Congress.)
Term limits for all federal judges including the Supreme Court Justices. I suggest 12 years. Mandatory retirement at age 75.
Mandatory retirement of Senators and Representatives at 75.
All regulations proposed by any government agency must be passed in a single, unique bill presented in Congress.
I could go on -- there's too much that needs to be done.
