Former Montana Lt. Gov. John Bohlinger announced his 2014 Senate campaign this week with a bang. Instead of giving a mundane announcement of his intentions to run as a Democrat for the outgoing Max Baucus Senate seat, Bohlinger made a comparison between House Republicans and the Taliban.
We need to challenge the Tea Party representatives who like the Taliban shut our country down, Bohlinger told reporters, according to the Billings Gazette.
The Montana paper reports that Bohlinger compared to the House GOPs actions in last months government shutdown to that of the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, and the terrorists actions on Sept. 11, 2001.
Bohlinger previously served as a Republican alongside Democratic Gov. Brian Schweitzer. In the Democratic primary, hell face several candidates including current Lt. Gov. John Walsh.
Montana has gotten pretty bad if this kind of nonsense wins elections there.
Guy got bit by a Liechen...
This is what has infiltrated the GOP these days. Bohlinger does openly what people like McCain and Christie really want to do, in terms of openly switching parties.
Aww c’mon man.
Come up with something original.
It’s time for an addendum to Godwin’s Law. Anyone who invokes an absurd and off-the-mark Taliban comparison automatically loses the argument.
What a dillhole.
That is how stupid Democrat voters are.
The Charlie Crist of Montana....
A well focus-grouped phrase. It plays well with the hate-filled liberal nutjobs he is going to need to win the Dem Primary.
This is going to be fun!
I dare him to compare us to the black panthers.
Oh, and maybe like the Taliban, due to a feckless Presidency, we may just achieve victory.
Do you think Americans will realize that the Tea Party is just the newest Rat/Media straw man to demonize? I had to laugh when that Dem Gov from Connecticut explained away his fundraiser to San Francisco by saying ‘we gave to counter the millions that the Tea Party has’. As if the Tea Party was organized and had fabulously wealthy donors! I pray that the majority can see through this BS!
The only problem with Montana is the rats are pretty organized there, and the GOP is not. That’s why we win presidential elections there hands down, but senatorial races never go our way.
Likely to change this year though. Even Nate Shillver thinks Montana is going to put a Republican in Max Baucus’ seat.
Strange, the only Congress critter that wanted to shut the US Government down was Senator “Stonewall” Reid.
I had NO idea that Reid was a member of the TEA Party!
Sure fooled me!
"Vote for me I'm a douche"
He may have put a noose around his neck.
....so is the Democrat going to surrender and offer this guy full access to our courts?
Need any more proof of how deranged and crazy liberals truly are? Would these stupid RINOS remind us again why we need to find common ground and work with these lunatics?
