I’m in the heart of Obamacountry. Although I do have fun with it. I was parked downtown and saw that the twentysomething hipster behind me had just been ticketed (we have ticketeers here, as you know the Dems see each human being as a cash/vote machine). So I talked to him and asked, “Do you vote Democrat?” He looked nervous and lied, saying, “No. I don’t.” I replied, “Good, we have to stop electing these Democrats or they’ll fine us to death.”

You are correct and we need to do the same thing. Reagan went too far, despite the fact that I’d love to see both DOEs gone, and Reagan knew it. He worked smarter, not harder.

We need to do the same thing. People don’t like revolutionaries and that’s why the media always paint us as nut jobs and extremists. We need to dismantle the welfare state carefully and with a Christian concern for the lives of our fellow Americans.

For instance, why not freeze the DOE budgets and send the funds on a prorated per capita basis directly back to the states to spend on energy and education as they see fit. Empty out DC one agency at a time and keep the budgets flat.

We can grow our way out of some of this, except for entitlements. That’s a big fish to swallow.
