November 8, 2013 12:38 PM UC-Berkeley Students Ban Use of 'Illegal Immigrant' By Andrew Johnson
The University of CaliforniaBerkeley student government unanimously passed a resolution banning the term illegal immigrant from the bodys official discourse. The resolution is the second such measure to be passed since former Homeland Security secretary Janet Napolitano took over as president of the UC system.
The Berkeley student government showed its support for the drop the I-word campaign, deeming the term racially charged, according to the College Fix. The I word is legally inaccurate since being out of status is a civil rather than criminal infraction, the resolution reads.
Napolitanos arrival to the UC system has been met with resistance from some students, professors, and other employees because of her record on detention and deportation of undocumented immigrants. For example, at the Board of Regents approval vote in July, protesters stormed the room shouting Shame! resulting in arrests. In its resolution, the Berkeley student government claimed students live in fear of Napolitano.
The resolution offers alternative terms in place of the rejected term so as to not dehumanize people, such as undocumented, immigrants without papers, foreign nationals, or immigrants seeking status.
The one student who abstained from the 180 vote to pass the resolution said he felt it didnt accomplish anything substantive. Additionally, he said his fellow members showed disrespect when he raised some objections to the resolution by turning their backs to him as he spoke.
Via College Fix.
Cal-Berkeley talking apes.
I guess wetback is out too.
That leaves “undocumented democrats.”
Meanwhile terms like “honky” and “whitey” are OK.
I guess the Left only cares if some people are “de-humanized”.
I plan to ramp up my use of the term “illegal alien.”
how do they refer to the current occupant of our White House, then?
How is violating National boundaries (via invasion, or trespassing) not a criminal infraction?
All Nations protect their boundaries - except for apparently the United States which is not allowed to do so. The world-wide communist movement has deemed the United States as belonging to the world. Our Government also refuses to uphold the Constitution and protect our boundaries - a dereliction of duty that belongs to both political parties.
This from the home of the free speech movement ;)
It is good to know that laws don’t apply anymore. We already know they don’t apply to DemocRATS.
Lefties are adept at Lying, Cheating and Stealing. When they come by your yard where you are growing your food, after the collapse make sure they show their vote card and party affiliation.
Wait a sec, when did Janet deport anyone? Did I miss that action on her part??
Freakin lying scum. ILLEGALS, that’s what I’ll call them, like it or not.
The alternate term, “foreign nationals” isn’t bad at all. They aren’t Americans.
Can’t say the I word? Obama uses it all the time!
Liberals did away with English grammar. Now they’re doing away with vocabulary. What’s next?

I agree. It should be “criminal trespassers”.
Invaders work for me.
The adults (if there are any) at UC are letting the children run the house? No surprise there...
