The health care laws seemingly endless problems are giving congressional Republicans a much-needed boost of energy, helping them to move past the government-shutdown debacle and focus on a theme for next years elections.
Republicans are back on offense, and more quickly than many had expected, after seeing their approval ratings plunge during last months partial shutdown and worrisome talk of a possible U.S. debt default.
They pillory administration officials at Capitol Hill hearings. They cite the millions of people getting dropped by insurers despite President Barack Obamas promise that it wouldnt happen. They harp on the programs flawed enrollment process.
Now theyre relishing Obamas apology to those who are losing health insurance plans he had repeatedly said they could keep.

From Obama's pants on fire.
Rather than “move on from the government-shutdown debacle” congressional republicans should be reminding people (and the press) that they were right all along! And if the democrats and Obama had just listened to them, all of this rollout debacle would have been avoided!
The democrats should not only be punished for Obamacare in general, but they should be punished for not listening to the republicans who tried to stop it!
But, but, I thought we were the bad guys?
Anybody who says he did is racist.
“helping them to move past the government-shutdown debacle”
But the shutdown ‘debacle’ was an attempt to stop the Obamacare Supernova Debacle. How is this a problem?
That’s odd, I though the ObamaMedia had written the GOP off for dead a few weeks ago.
“Republicans are back on offense”
Some Republicans are on offense. Most are still in the fetal position.
“They pillory administration officials at Capitol Hill hearings. They cite the millions of people getting dropped by insurers despite President Barack Obamas promise that it wouldnt happen. They harp on the programs flawed enrollment process...”
They do? Where?
The Establishment Republican elite is much like the doomed dodo bird of Mauritius, when confronted by that fierce predator, the brown rat, which arrived on merchant and pirate ships. “Dodo” became a synonym for meek and confused, unable to do the least effort necessary for self-preservation.
Consider what happens to a brown rat when it is confronted by several barnyard geese. The geese have no compunctions whatsoever about attacking and pretty well demolishing the rat.
The Republican party needs more geese and fewer dodo birds.
Translation: Republicans dare to expose the truth of Obamacare.
You'd think they'd be all over the democrats on this, given the clarity of the situation. But the criticism I hear from republicans is still pretty muted.
GOP dummies: forget about sitting back and letting your opponents hang themselves - that only gives the media time to rally and mount a defense. Now is the time to press your advantage.
Ah, but that would be admitting that Cruz and the teaparty rep tactics were right.
Can't have that.
The RINO losers will find SOMEWAY to blow it.
Republicans already have a reputation from wresting victory from the jaws of defeat. Don't do it again, please.
Justice Roberts' next-to-last paragraph in his ruling on ACA reads:
"The Framers created a Federal Government of limited powers, and assigned to this Court the duty of enforcing those limits. The Court does so today. But the Court does not express any opinion on the wisdom of the Affordable Care Act. Under the Constitution, that judgment is reserved to the people." - Justice C. J. RobertsWhy not let "the People" decide on the law through the upcoming electoral process in 2014 and 2016, as that law was enacted and now impacts their lives, liberties, and property.
To "rescue" it is to prolong their misery and make its consequences to the elected representatives who voted for it lighter.
As for Landrieu and Hagan, "the People" of your states, as Hagan says, do deserve better than a government-imposed and taxpayer-funded collaboration between Democrats and insurance companies to come between themselves and their doctors and health care providers!
What the Senators really are saying is that the government must get its coercive "redistribution" mechanism working more efficiently than did the web site!
They know, as do their fellow Democrats, that the youthful victims may begin to see that the hand in their pockets is not their own voluntary charity, but that of the coercive hand of force.
There was, perhaps, an unintended, but telling, remark within the so-called statements of "apology" in the NBC interview this week.
With regard to Democratic "progressives'" intent with the so-called "Affordable" Care Act, the President claimed it was to cause people to choose its provisions:". . . because they want 'em, as opposed to because they're forced into it." - Barack Obama, NBC Interview, 11-07-13
The biggest lie of them all is this telling statement--else, why would there be a "penalty" (uh, a "tax," as Chief Justice Roberts calls it) for failure to participate??
Contrast Obama's statement with the honest wisdom of America's First President:
"Government is not reason, it is not eloquence, it is force; like a fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action." - George Washington
Youth of America, you were not asked, were you, if you "want" that added expense for insurance you probably will not need for several years? Bet you could use your earnings in those early years for getting your first apartment, your first car, etc., etc. But, no, you are being "forced" to use your hard-earned dollars to pay for other people's assorted unhealthy lifestyles, or the myriad of other "forced" coverages you don't need or want!
"However combinations or associations of [factions] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely, in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people, and to usurp for themselves the reins of government - destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion." - George Washington
It’s too bad the GOP has to wait for the Dims to do something wrong just to look good...
... instead of the GOP looking good as the result of doing something right.
Well, if the media didn’t act as the Dems’ Praetorian Guards, then it’d be easier for the GOP, especially its conservative wing.
It’s too bad the Republicans are too stupid to take advantage of it.
You NEVER ever see such articles over how Democrats constantly exploit everything for partisan gain, such as the phony “war on women”.
What possible partisan political advantage are Republicans trying to leverage here? No Republican voted for Obamacare. The majority of people were screaming at Congress NOT to pass Obamacare. Democrats had to be bribed to pass it, including Bart Stupak.
Republicans have always said Obamacare was a mess and needed defunding. Republicans stood up and said Obamacare should be delayed, just as it was delayed for businesses. Republicans filibustered to end Obamacare.
And now — just now — Republicans are gleefully exploiting and enjoying Obama’s problems he and Democrats wrough — themselves?
When Republicans are universally and unalterably proven correct and Democrats completely exposed, the corrupt MSM has no other option but to dust off the well-worn tactic of blaming Republicans for gleefully leveraging dirty partisan trickery. And so, “See, the Republicans are mean because they are now trying to exploit this situation instead of working to help fix it.”
Wait, Republicans have been screaming, “STOP, THIS IS A DISASTER”, and it's now Republican’s fault for playing politics. And tell me, when did Dirty Harry or Nancy Pelosi, or Barack Obama engage in any bipartisan workings?
This utter disaster and unmitigated mess is solely of the pig-headed Democrats making. It is exactly what Ted Cruz was talking about.
The MSM is so pathetically corrupt. Always cheer leading for their team — always.

Yeah, okay.
