Sarah Palin stops short of supporting Chris Christie as presidential candidate
NJ.com ^ | 11/11/13

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says she thinks it's good that Gov. Chris Christie won another term in mostly Democratic New Jersey.

But the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate stops short of embracing Christie as a potential GOP presidential candidate in 2016, saying "I would never put my faith and hope in any one politician."

This is an AP story in a (very liberal) NJ paper.

I don't know if the odd headline is from the AP or the local rag.

She didn't endorse at least fifteen people who live on my block for President either.

Bush is chickening out because of the number of debates. So Karl Rove and the GOP-e have anointed Fatass.

An open question — Will Christie be content with trying to be as conservative as his liberal constituents will allow him to be, or will he go out of his way to pick fights with conservatives who are fully supported by their constituents? The choice is his.

I wish you both were honest. In 2007, many were saying the same thing about Romney and the minute he was nominated, everyone was bashing and thrashing about those who wanted to keep their principles. Everyone will step in line again in 2016. That has been the cycle for years.

I watched her interview this morning. She missed a great opportunity when asked about Christie. She should have asked how successful being a moderate was for Bob Dole, John McCain and Miserable Romney.

True. “NJ.COM” figured they’d pull a quote out the ass-smacking she gave the Lauer boy and try to make a story unflattering to Palin and Christie out of it.

Didn’t work.

She missed nothing, she quickly implied that Christie was no Ronald Reagan, dissing him with the faint praise of a Republican who could win in a blue state. It’s all she gave him, it was said with some power and with a smile.

The liberal media will let us know who they want us to choose. Whether McCain, Romney, or Christie it will be clear from how they describe the potential candidate.

Christie has already gotten some of the "maverick" treatment for being a Republican Governor of deep blue New Jersey.

Those supporting Christie need to educate me as to all the progress being made in turning New Jersey red. Anyone? Anyone?

The liberal press that's trying to separate your vote from Sarah Palin knows that very well, which is why they're dropping hints she would indeed endorse Krispy. They know the entire Tea Party would give her the boot if she did that.

Flashback: Palin Has a Few Choice Words for Christie

“Poor Chris,” Ms. Palin said. “This was a rookie mistake. He played right into the media’s hands. The host had asked Chris, ‘Does Newt embarrass the party?’ I think he asked him twice, and there, Chris played right into it.”

Really? Because I didn’t support Romney at all. Even once he won the nomination. I continued to run him into the ground right up till the end. It helps to know who you’re talking to when you make statements like that.

Not me, the bashing was of no consequence and I proudly cast my vote at the Presidential level for a third-party candidate who actually supported the same principles I held.

I will do it again, if needed.

" Everyone will step in line again in 2016. That has been the cycle for years."

Not I. I did a fair amount of praying over whether to vote for Romney, with his pro-queer, pro-abortion views. Despite the fact that God was leading me to sit it out, after Benghazi I caved and voted for him. The next day, literally, a distance began between God and myself that I am still working on repairing.

Fatso will never get my support, whether he runs against Hillary or the reincarnation of Adolf Hitler.

There is no conservative elected who is not a Republican.

If Krispy gets the nomination, that's going to have to change. That will have marked almost 30 years of RINOs getting the nomination, and it's quite clear the senior Republican leadership in Congress is more interested in "compromising" with their friends across the aisle and in the White House than representing Conservatives.

A lot of us have let the GOP screw us over election after election, and we've reached a point where we will go elsewhere rather than continue to support a party that is ever moving left.

The writing is on the wall. The liberals running the GOP are doing everything they can to accelerate Big Government whether it's floating amnesty, or not putting up much of a fight against Obamacare when they took over the House.

Methinks the only way to keep them from compromising with what’s across the aisle is to make what’s across the aisle as scanty as possible.
