NEW YORK There are three words that strike terror in the hearts of Wall Street bankers and corporate executives across the land: President Elizabeth Warren.
The anxiety over Warren grew Monday after a magazine report suggested the bank-bashing Democratic senator from Massachusetts could mount a presidential bid in 2016 and would not necessarily defer to Hillary Clinton who is viewed as far more business-friendly for the partys nomination.
And the fear is not only that Warren, who channels an increasingly popular strain of Occupy Wall Street-style anti-corporatism, might win. That is viewed by many political analysts as a slim possibility. It is also that a Warren candidacy, and even the threat of one, would push Clinton to the left in the primaries and revive arguments about breaking up the nations largest banks, raising taxes on the wealthy and otherwise stoking populist anger that is likely to also play a big role in the Republican primaries.
The nightmare scenario for banks is to hear these arguments from a candidate on the far left and on the far right, said Jaret Seiberg, a financial services industry analyst at Guggenheim Partners. Suddenly you have Elizabeth Warren screaming about too big to fail on one side and Rand Paul screaming about it on the other side and then candidates in the middle are forced to weigh in.

She lied about her minority status for years to get ahead in her career which would have disqualified her almost anyplace but Marxachusetts. Why would anyone think she has a chance at the Presidency? Just her practicing law without a license should be enough to disqualify her. Whatever...she still has a better chance than Hillary.
If anyone would go on a nationalization of banking and industry spree, it would probably be someone like Elizabeth Warren. Think of the shah of iran, and his reign of rule and plunder, and you get the idea. Nobody, including their property, wealth, or life would be safe.
my error: despise (not despite)
You make me laugh :)
I think this is a stalking horse in the form of an even more liberal to make Hillary look more reasonable in comparison. Whatever it is it shows it is never enough. Liberals are emboldened by Obama and will run more and more extreme candidates. Open CPUSA candidates is where this is going.
Good call.
Wow - the Politico’s taking my posts down as fast as I’m posting them. :)
At this point, Warren is a stalking goat. Designed to give the appearance of actual competition instead of just a media anointment of Hillary.
She has zero shot at even being nominated, she knows it, the Democratic party knows it, you know it.
They love her over at DU.
They'd rather have Warren than Hillary.
Warren is all about crashing US business and banks. The socialists love that.
“.. Elizabeth Warren screaming about too big to fail on one side and Rand Paul screaming about it on the other side...”
Two liberals screaming about the same thing?
Oh dude. I’d love to see. Primary between her and the Hildebeest
Bring on the popcorn eating dude!
Hee hee.
You didn’t build that!
I saved Libya !
Hee hee.
RE: You didnt build that!
Was that Fauxcahontas’ line that Obama stole?
This woman is such a flake it’s hard to believe that even the Dems would consider her. But she won handily in MA, even after all her lies and lunatic utterances were exposed, so it’s not unlikely that they’d run her and not even unlikely that she’d win, since Dems have now engineered themselves a permanent majority and corrupted the system so badly that there’s no way a GOPer is going to win again under current conditions.
Hillary is yesterday’s Marxist hag. Warren is going to be the one.
RE: But she won handily in MA, even after all her lies and lunatic utterances were exposed
MA is the state that continued to put Ted Kennedy in the Senate EVEN after he caused the death of Mary Jo Kopechne.
This is also the same state that time and again, put Barney Frank in congress LONG after they discovered that he was running a gay brothel in his apartment.
It seems that lying and perversion are personal assets in this state.
So who does this remind you of, hmm?
Remember how that worked out in 2008? Lose-lose, either way.
Wall Street is going to be afraid of a money-grubbing liar? Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!
