After a student died from leukemia, students wore t-shirts honoring the student. The school banned the shirts.

Desperate attempt to create a sanitized world, without a Christ.

They’ll remember JFK, but not this?

Public Education can’t employ every single ahole we’ve got in America, but it doesn’t stop them from trying.

When are the authoritarian idiots going to learn that there’s no such thing as a local story anymore?

WOW, just WOW. Any and ever teacher or counselor that I know of would have said it is OK for these kids to express their grief as long as they were not hurting themselves or others. This was just wrong on every level I know of.

Some parents demanded the resignations of those administrators who had called for the T-shirt ban. That night, after speaking with Caitlyn's family, the school reversed their decision and said that the students could wear the shirts the next day.

I really don't give a damn that they reversed the decision the next day.

Dumb asses like this don't need to be running a school.

I suggest that the involved school administrators be made to work in a cancer ward for a week or two.

Then let them come back to the school and apologize in public to the students they showed a great disrespect to.

Good Lord. Is there a more collectively stupid group of individuals in the country than public school administrators?

Not to worry, the ones they miss will get hired by the police Dept.

TruTV really needs a new show, World’s Dumbest Public School Administrators. More than enough material out there to keep Danny Bonaduce, Tonya Harding, Loni Love, etc employed forever.

Maybe they're trying to desensitize us. Maybe they've persuaded themselves if they flood the news with enough viciousness and idiocy, they'll become the norm.

What if they're right?

If the parents were smart, they would keep pressing on those resignations. Take out the trash.

Yes. That group is what is known as your local School Board. They hire these Admins and approve of their six-figure salaries.

I guess these T-shirts clashed with the, “We are Trayvon” shirts. School administrators have become absolute tools.

Mad Max, let’s make that volunteer work at a cancer ward in a children’s hospital, please.

Increasingly, the word “school” in the English language denotes an institution wherein children learn what it’s like to be an uneducated jerk.

“After a student died from leukemia, students wore t-shirts honoring the student. The school banned the shirts.”

If the school had a dress code, no problem here; similar accomodations would undoubtedly be made for St. Skittles, and I’d rather not have that at my children’s school. We live in a crumbling society where rules are routinely thrown out the window as part of the “fundamental transformation of America”; if these shirts violated a policy then keep them home, or at events outside of school hours.
