The Department of Health and Human Services reported Wednesday that more than 100,000 people have selected a health care plan through the ObamaCare exchanges -- a number that, likely due to widespread website failures, falls far short of the administration's goal.
The administration had originally hoped to sign up a half-million people in the first month of open enrollment. Now more than six weeks into the troubled launch of HealthCare.gov and other state-based exchanges, HHS announced Wednesday that 106,185 people had selected a plan as of Nov. 2. And just 27,000 did so via the federal exchanges.
The announcement had been highly anticipated, as lawmakers have been pressing the administration for weeks on official figures.

I wonder how many were medicaid (”free”) or max subsidy?
I bet that number is bogus.
“.....Another 396,261 have been determined eligible for Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program, which are public programs that provide health insurance to low-income Americans, officials said....”
Lots of votes purchased.
As long as the tap at Ben & Janet’s continue to flow...
Of course it’s bogus...they LIE about everything else...
How many welfare? How many young people? How many have lost their insurance?
106,000? That fills up the Yankee Stadium seating capacity, I think.
Right? Where’s the chart with the breakdown of ages of enrollee suspects? Any bro’s or ho’s?
Note the word “picked”. Not the same as “bought”.
3/100ths of 1% of the American people have signed up.
They’re really on a roll in Obamacare Land.
The report says well over 300,000 to Medicaid. Wow! The sad thing is that those rubes have no idea how bad Medicaid is.
Bubba and Hillary are moving out of the way of this fiasco faster than a Frenchman running from a German.
It’s “free” so they will love it.
Along with their food stamps, TANF, section 8 housing, obamphone, subsidized high speed internet, and Earned Income Credit.
“......HealthCare.gov has performed even worse than expected. Fewer than 27,000 people selected a plan through the website, compared with roughly 79,000 who picked a plan through the 15 state-based insurance exchanges. Unofficial estimates leaked earlier this week suggested the federal website had done slightly better....”
whats that, about .02%
We wonder to what extent these reported numbers have been audited? What data was used by Health and Human Services? What assumptions did they use? What was the source of the data? What methodology did they use to come up with those numbers? We all wonder whether or not the numbers are somehow inflated.
So, for the people who have lost their insurance, how are they paying for doctors, meds, procedures and hospital stays? Who’s paying the bills?
Note the word picked. Not the same as bought.
Yup. They have already said they are counting plans in the shopping cart.
