IMO if the election were held today, in light of recent events, Cuch would beat the Clinton Carpetbagger McAwful.

The GOP needs to run against Obamacare, it is the key issue. Also, Cuch should run for Senate in 2014, he will win.

Would Romney win?
Would McCain win?
Would Dole win?
Would Bush 1 win?
Would Ford win?

Would Dewey win?...............................

My bet is that if there had been an election last week he’d have won and that, no, in another contest between him and Clinton’s man he’d have no chance
The only mystery is why is this not commonly assumed

Cuch is a Tea Partier, the purpose of this post is to ask the opinion of thinking Freepers if the political winds have shifted that much in only one week. Please abstain, as you seem incapable of a simple yes or no.

Yes, especially if the RINOs would actually step out and support him.

With McAuliff in charge of the state, and therefore the election process, there is no way they will allow Cuchinelli to win a senate election. It ain’t gonna be allowed...................

Democrats would just manufacture the additional votes needed to secure a McAuliffe win.

Not if the Republican Party had anything to do with it. They love to lose with a Democrat Lite weasel of their choice.

Voter fraud still wins it for McAuliffe.

The problem is not just RINO's it is also the 4 million conservatives who will not vote. Obama would have lost and badly if those 4 million would have voted for a conservative, and any one of the conservatives would have been a better President than Obama.
Sadly though the conservatives were playing some sort of high school popularity game... not what is best for the country but who was the most "pure" of the conservatives. They did not see the big picture but needed to vote for their favorite or no one at all.
And if you remember, that is how it was evidenced here on FR.
Newt was not good/pure enough....
Cain was not good/pure enough...
Perry was not good/pure enough...
Santorum was not good/pure enough...
Palin was not good/pure enough...
Romney was not good/pure enough....
It was sickening to see....
And so we ended up with Obama.
Is he really better than the worse of the conservatives???
Folks, what is the saddest part of all is that we will now end up with a SCOTUS that is the most liberal in history, and that is what the dems really wanted.
Having a SCOTUS is easier than having the presidency 'cause the dems don't need to win the hearts and minds every 4 years. Liberals know that it is harder to get rid of a bad SCOTUS than a bad president.
And that is what the did in the last presidential election that was more important than being sure Obama won. All they needed to do was stack the deck judicially and the president can do whatever he wants.
WILL DO whatever he wants. They learned the lesson with Kerry and Gore. even if they won the popular vote they could lose the electoral vote. So they knew if they controlled the JUDICIAL branch, they never will lose control of the country again.

I think it’s very possible, yes.
In Chatham, Virginia Uranium officials are terribly shocked to find that McAuliffe will continue to ban uranium mining. They say his “new” stance contradicts the neutral one he took before the election.
Damn fools for believing anything out of that crook’s mouth.
