I don’t think they’re trying to save obama. They want to get him and the rats on the record legislatively. Let the rats vote against it. Let obama veto it.

_____________

Read the article....Obama vowed to veto it...this is basically a bill that will hasten the overall demise of the entire law, and the administration knows it. FInally the GOP is playing smart— this bill would hasten the destruction of Obamacare, puts Obama on record as vetoing a keep your plan fix, and drives a wedge between redstate-bluestate democrats and the president...More of this please.

I’m thinking the same thing, BUT let’s think this thru...It looks very unlikely that this will pass the Senate or even come up for a vote...so the public should equate the republicans with trying to do something about this trainwreck.

Secondly, I think this vindicates Ted Cruz big time. He started the debate, he made it clear where he and other conservatives stood on this issue.

Had he not come out, the debate would not have been as focused. IMHO.

There is no way, except with huge House Democratic support (which didn’t happen) Harry Reid will take this up in the Senate. House GOP looks like they tried to fix it for real, and Dem’s stood in their way, once again.

Very low risk maneuver, but looks like we’re trying to help. Only help is repeal.

Come’on Ted Cruz. Let’s see the plan!

It's precisely what the STUPID Party always does.

They will be lucky if he holds true to his word and veto's it.

“Why are these idiot “Republicans” trying to save this train wreck?”

EXACTLY!

When there’s an impending train wreck, you stay clear of it. Stupid GOP.

Yep. Dumb, dumb, dumb, repeat ad infinitum.

What are they thinking? Where’s our Patton or our Napoleon to lead these GOPeeps?

“Why are these idiot “Republicans” trying to save this train wreck?”

They’re not. Their bill would gut obamacare should it pass and also save thousands of lives of people who are going to soon die because they’ve lost their health insurance. It also puts the Killer Kommies on record who voted against it come 11/2014.

Why are these idiot “Republicans” trying to save this train wreck?

The answer to that is included in your question. We're fortunate the Senate and the Preezy are protecting the idiot House Pubbies from themselves.

Agreed. If they are going down the stupid path, they might as well tack on a bunch of amendments like defunding the department of education.

They should either have flat out refused to fund it in the first place or left it to wither on the vine.

Now they are complicit.

Expect every future failure of the ACA to be blamed on the meddling Republicans.

We own it now. Ugh.

What makes you thing a GOP-sponsored bill to instantiate “if you like your plan, you can keep your plan” into law is an attempt to save Obamacare?

The most likely outcome is that it’s killed in the Senate, hopefully with a vote putting lots of ‘Rat Senators on record as opposing it: big political win for our side.

Even if it passes the Senate, Obama will likely veto it, and if he doesn’t, it ensures the “death spiral” for the exchange-compliant plans will accelerate as people stick with their old, inexpensive, catastrophic-only or high-deductible plans, rather than buying the covers-everything-whether-you-could-possibly-need-it-or-not Obamacare package.

Exactly! We'll never have this opportunity to collapse socialism, on this scale again.

Let the whole mess implode.

That is what I was thinking. Why don’t they just let the nation understand the full devastation of this and play it up to an 11 every chance they get and revel in the public disdain and hatred of it? They once again strike out on the easiest pitches the opposition throws.

“Why are these idiot “Republicans” trying to save this train wreck?”

I couldn't believe that it was for one year only. All I can say is that I'm glad Obama won't go along with it. The Republican leaders must be in cahoots with Obama.

It should have been said they can keep their health care, PERIOD! Then see if the Dems would vote for it. All this does is provide cover for some of the unsafe seats for Dems and it doesn't solve any of the problems in ObamaCare, just delays full implementation.

Another kick-the-can-down-the-road bill.

Because Democrats are geniuses at putting Republicans between the rock and the hard place. The five million people who lost their insurance sure as heck want some help. I just hope they appreciate Republicans for the help! We’ll see!

I do know what you mean. I love watching Dems as they watch all the Tea Party’s predictions come true! It sure would be nice to see some admission of that. We should be seeing flashbacks to the town hall events and the 9-12 project in DC.

But you have to try to help the ones who are really hurting because of it. Remember, there are former Obama supporters hoping the Republican efforts work.
