No, Boehner only calls for another round of drinks.

Pub leadership strategy is to wait until “next time” to challenge Obama, or wait until voters like the wait strategy so much that they vote more waiters into the House & Senate.

While they wait, might as well have another round of drinks, AND another round of raises, perks, privileges, exemptions, & all expense paid trips.

Americans have had character, personal integrity, the concepts of shame and embarrassment bred out of them.

It's impossible to account for the state of Congress in any other way.

What we have are barely educated, immature, grasping, unprincipled and irresponsible people in office! Our elected officials are the mirror image of their respective constituencies!

It is more than just lying, it was a calculated plan to push Obamacare by knowingly misrepresenting its effects. This is criminal fraud by deception. Obama is no better than a sleazy used car salesman who represents a clunker as being a cream puff.

It can be argued that this thread and other discussions later in the year are the beginning of the process of insuring that pissed off voters rid us of as much of the Rat plague as possible.

In my mind, it has already begun. It needs to fester

As long as the “Goose-Stepping” RATs control the Senate they can impeach all they want but their will be no trial much less a conviction.

Well, why not impeach his white half.

Back in the "bad old days", any person with any black blood in him, no matter how small, was automatically considered to be wholly black. And the black people assured us that attitude was racist.

Now black people consider half-white Obama to be wholly black, but that is no longer racist, and therefore he must be accepted as black by all people, white or black.

Thus, Obomba has no white half.

Whether or not his dissembling is an impeachable offense — his refusal to enforce the law of the land certainly is! And there are dozens of “counts” of that violation to nail him on. Never happen though.

Don't say 'never'; not any more. If Obamacare blows up as badly as I predict, even liberal Democrats will turn on him ... and CONVICT AND REMOVE.

In the meeting they had last week, it's leaked out that the concerned Democrat Senators got nothing from Obama, except the same worn-out talking points.

They cannot be happy.

Obama will be impeached. One more thing has to be put into place and we will see the dismantling of liberalism. We have to win the Senate in 2014 with enough conservatives to hold off the GOPe.

If Republicans try to do it now, the race card will be played throughout 2014 and we will not win the senate. Now is a time for strategic thinking and planning and holding Dems accountable for Obamacare

Correct. However, in the case of 0bamacare, 0bama committed 'Fraudulent Misrepresentation' by lying about 'keep your health care plan' and 'keep your doctor' in order to get through the 2012 election, then kept lying because he would entrap himself in a crime had he switched to telling the truth after the election.

Had 0bama told the truth about 0bamacare, HE'D PROBABLY NOT BEEN RE-ELECTED, so this 0bamacare 'bait and switch' rises to a more serious level.

When you add up all the WILLFUL LIES and distortions leading up to the 2012 election, to include the LIE that Benghazi was a 'protest over a video' and the LIE reinforced by the Census Bureau that the unemployment rate dropped to 7.9% from 8.1% right before the election, a clear case can be made for Impeachment.

Having a pathological liar in the White House is downright dangerous for America and destructive to our foreign policy, too. The totality of 0bama's lies qualifies him for Impeachment!

Lookit guys-—why should we put ourselves, and our dwindling resources, through the agony of impeachment?...Then we change all the locks on the WH doors...

LOL. The removal in the Senate is all but an impossibility, but if it were, then what? Biden becomes President and selects, guess who, for Vice President...Hillary. Frankly this is a more untenable situation then the impeachment process.

Alternately, Obama is ripe to be a permanent laughingstock with which we can hang around the necks of all Democrats as a millstone. We are up against political expediency, let us use expediency to our advantage.

..and lets not forget the IRS suppressing the Republican vote by denying and stonewalling Tea Party 'tax exempt status' applications, leading up to the election. Also, the DOJ gathering intelligence on Fox News with a bogus warrant right before the election.. The AP was NEVER spied on. THAT was a red herring to make it appear as though the DOJ wasn't JUST spying on conservative media. There's been NO evidence the DOJ spied on the AP. None.

So many election-related lies and crimes were committed, it's astonishing 0bama remains in office.

Impeachment proceedings should proceed even though we probably won’t get a conviction (yet), just to force Obama testify about ObamaCare and Bengazi.

Is a lie, not under oath, in a court of law, or before Congress, from the President himself, not one of his mouthpieces...

Does that really meet the standard for “High Crimes and Misdemeanors?”...

I’m not excusing this by any means, but Levin knows this...And most of us do as well...

I would love to toss this bastard (and his minions) to the street, but he is well insulated and protected...He is not going to leave until January 20th, 2017 at 12:00pm

The first step is in play now, with H. Res. 411, that needs to get on the fast tack yesterday...That will take the wind out of the sails of Holder, even though it will never go to a trial in the Senate, it may very well become a standing impeachment charge against him...Maybe after the election this time next year...We might be able to get it done...

But I am not holding my breath...And, you might vbery well expect a Presidential pardon to become a reality as well, ready to be foisted after the process is complete...

Then Levin may very well pop a vein in the forehead, along with a few of us as well...

The defeated insurrection leaders complained about US citizens from the north helping the south to rebuild because they were from the north.

They also complained about ‘scalawags’ US citizens from the south helping the south to rebuild because they were from the south.

Really the insurrection leaders should have complained about themselves for leading their states into an illegal and failed insurrection, wherein much damage was done to to the already poor infrastructure in the south.

General Hood set Atlanta on fire. General Sherman and his men put it out. Sherman destroyed government buildings as he left Atlanta, but most of the damage had been done by Hood’s fire. You won’t learn that from the southrons though.

Lee’s men set Richmond on fire and slashed the fire hoses. Grant’s men put the fire out.You won’t learn that from the southrons though.

Different states had different standards for ‘black’.

Jefferson asserted that three crosses with white were sufficient to dilute any taint of African heritage. His family had much experience with that approach.

First Cross: Mullatto
Second Cross: Quadroon
Third Cross: Octaroon

Other times and places, no matter how white, the status of the mother determined the status of the child.

Other times and places, “One Drop” rule was used to deny freedmen status.

Add it the fact that the slave power kidnapped whites from the north and then asserted they were slaves under the ‘one drop’ rule. Noone can prove they are white under the ‘one drop’ rule.

He had the help of several traitorous GOPe, who would not let the case be presented. Remember Trent Lott, that former democrat that rode Reagan's revolution all the way to senate majority leader?

Impeachable offense or not, I am among those who think that impeachment proceedings are a waste of time. There is no way we would get enough senators to vote to convict in a trial, even if the House voted to impeach.

We wouldn’t even get all the Republicans to vote for it.

If you were paying attention,

I pay attention and I know until Boehner authorizes committee chairs real power to compel testimony, nothing will happen.

Has Lois Lerner been called to account yet? Didn't think so.

After Articles of Impeachment are issued by the House, the Senate becomes a Jury even taking a different Oath, and the Chief Justice becomes the Senate President.

I watched as Trent Lott made a travesty of the process. A Chief Justice who apparently had no clue of his roll, frequently yielded his rightful power to the parliamentarian.

Senators solemnly took the new Oath and promptly set about breaking that Oath at every opportunity.

Bammy is fomenting an armed revolution, arming civilian government agencies to the teeth, arming drug cartels on the southern border, and arming islamoterrorists. Do you folks really think sitting on hands is an option? Do you think a glacially slow impeachment would work? I think we maybe can't afford not to try for something legal but more forceful. Congress acting alone can do a lot to neuter him by declaring his actions illegal and treasonous, demanding his resignation, and maybe using sheriffs to arrest him and/or co-conspirators. Probably has to be sheriffs, since Bammy has corrupted the upper levels of the federal gov’t and especially the military, but sheriffs do have authority. Am open to better ideas...

The Secret Service would feel obligated to stop that before it even happens, and they would.

I still recall in 2011 more than a few freepers claiming that single judge would order Obama out of the WH.
Funnier still they claimed it was the constitution behind it.

“...Congress acting alone can do a lot to neuter him by declaring his actions illegal and treasonous, demanding his resignation...”

THAT part of the statement, yes; if they took the Bully pulpit every day, every time he does anything, yes.

The power of the word “No” is amazing. It signifies that you will NOT comply, you will NOT give in or agree or capitulate.

But we have a “Speaker” who is more weeper than speaker and has lost his spine, and aside from a few staunch Conservative/Tea Party folks, the rest are largely acting on Boehner’s lack of leadership and following suit.

I would love to see Trey Gowdy stand up and openly challenge Boehner for the SOTH position, call for a vote of “No Confidence” and make it happen.

Then maybe you would in fact see Congress finally step up.

In order to get respect, you must first have Self-respect; and the SOTH reflects the lack of self-respect as far as I’m concerned.

Granted. But that’s not the point.

The point is to loudly and publicly call him out for his bullsh*t at every opportunity, instead of just meekly rolling over and peeing on their bellies.

Show some spine, point out WHY what he’s doing is illegal, unconstitutional, treasonous, etc., every damned day until the end of his term.

It’s the doing NOTHING on the part of the SOTH that just tacitly blesses his actions, so he gets away with it.

The media is in his pocket; but if the House used it’s power as part of the co-equal branch of government to broadcast opposition, every damned day, a lot of this wouldn’t be gotten away with.

>> call for a vote of “No Confidence" <<

Is Trey Gowdy a member of the British House of Commons or a similar parliamentary system? If so, then he have a vote of “No Confidence" against the party leader. Otherwise, it doesn't work that way in the United States. You can't change leaders in the middle of a session.

In theory I suppose he call for a "no confidence" vote against Boehner and it could even pass, but it would have symbolic effect only (unlike in parliamentary systems where it would cause the government to immediately dissolve and new elections to be held).

Ironically, I most often see the "we're a Republic, not a democracy!" people demand "no confidence" votes, which just proves they don't know what a "Republic" is, and despite the fact they claim to defend it so much, they seem to prefer an old European style monarchy, complete with no confidence votes and government-appointed upper houses.
