A Christian missionary doing door-to-door witnessing?

Either that, or street vermin not worth the air IT breathes. You make the call.

From another Source: Why did he stab his father with a knife, when he had a gun? Odd.

Could be. Weird that one was stabbed and one was shot. Unless they each had a weapon...

end of article:
Deeds and his first wife, Pamela Kay Miller, had four children: Amanda,, Rebecca, Gus, and Susannah. Amanda, a graduate of the University of Virginia, and Gus, then a junior at the College of William and Mary, took time off to join their father on the trail in 2009.
Deeds and his first wife divorced in 2010. The Washington Post reported at the time that the marriage was “a casualty of a nearly 20-year pursuit of a lifelong ambition that kept him away from home.”

Maybe he had a knife in his hand when he cracked, or a knife was the closest thing at hand. Afterwards, he could have gotten the gun out of a safe, car, drawer, etc and shot himself.

ANy comment from Michael Bllomberg? Was the son just despondent about the new healthcare law?

Psycologically, isn’t stabbing considered a very “personal” method of attack? Guns are seen as a more distant/removed method. Son intended to inflict horror and pain. Afterwards, couldn’t bring himself to go out that way, so he shot himself. My thoughts. It’s horrible however it went down.

Cop Dramas say that stabbing is more personal. I’m sure they wouldn’t lie about something like that.

It’s all speculation and first knee-jerk moment reporting. But, I initially wondered if the Dad shot the son in self defense after or during the stabbing.

I suppose we’ll find out. Don’t forget, he’s a liberal politician. So its a good bet we’ll never get the straight and total truth.

Prayers.

Agree, prayers and God’s mercy on all. Some things transcend politics, and this is one such thing.

Short of bare hands, I'd say so. But it was probably more in an instant of rage, rather than anything else.

Seems likely. From what I've seen it looks like the son stabed his dad and then shot himself. Not a big fans of Deeds but this is a tragedy and I'm praying for him and his family.

I just hate these kinds of stories. It's just impossible for me to think of anything that would have driven me to commit violence on my dad...
