White House 'sorry' for woman held up as ACA success ("Free" wasn't so free)

The White House is "as sorry as we can be" that a Washington state woman held up as an example of the success of the Affordable Care Act marketplaces appears to be falling through the cracks, press secretary Jay Carney said Tuesday.

In mid-October, President Obama cited single mother Jessica Sanford as an exchange success story after she wrote to him after being able to sign up for insurance in early October. She's since learned that her state's system miscalculated her tax credit and that her out-of-pocket costs will be substantially higher than expected.

Funny how they had this one example. And couldn’t even make a success out of it. This will wreak further damage on the obama wrecking ball for america and his “cause’ for destruction.

She's since learned that her state's system miscalculated her tax credit and that her out-of-pocket costs will be substantially higher than expected.

She thought other people would be subsidizing her health care, and here she has to subsidize theirs!

Schadenfreude!

Have there been any success stories that were, as I say, true??

I can’t believe the White Hut even acknowledged she existed now that she is of no use to them.

WA State’s computerized Obamacare web site not only miscalculated this woman’s government subsidies, it miscalcalculated the subsidies of all 7000 people that signed up for Obamacare.

They all must reapply. So, WA State, as far as I know, has no sign ups except those who have applied in the past two weeks.

Weren’t they “sorry” about the non-free rent and gas for the car woman too?

Obama needs to reach in his stash and pay the poor woman’s bills! (With his own money!)

No it won’t. The only way people know about things is if the MSM reports it.

The MSM will flat out ignore it. Shh.... nothing to see here. Move along. Move along.

"SORRY"

Truly an apt adjective appropriate for our current administration!

Funny and strange at the same time. A woman who used to work for me many years ago was pleasantly surprise her NY Exchange plan was so low due to “tax credits”.

Fast forward 2 weeks and she gets an e-mail telling her she must reapply and when she went back into the web site all her data was gone and had to be re-entered and then the sticker shock hit her.

Even in NYS which has always had very high requirements for policies and should not have been a big hit to enroll in CACA © (Can’t Afford Care Act) but she was faced with a huge premium hit for a higher deductible and higher co-pay!

Seems like both state exchanges were dealing with bogus numbers and then had to immediately go back on their original agreement.
