While looking for news from the Philippines, it occured to me that Art Bell is a broadcadter FROM the Ph, so I went looking and ... LO! ...

FROM THIS NOV 13 ACCOUNT:

This past July, SiriusXM Satellite Radio announced that Bell would launch a new, live, nightly call-in show, "Art Bell's Dark Matter," in September.

But since Bell's new program Sept. 16 premiere, there have been, according to Bell on his website, many problems with streaming his show.

Mr S and I get Coast to Coast to listen to while we sit around the fire when the weather is nice. I remember George Noory mentioning that Art Bell was starting a new show on Sirius.

Boy, that C2C show sure does shy away from criticizing Obama AT ALL! However, in the last few months, I’ve noticed that there have been a couple of guests on who have done so. Usually they get interrupted. I like John B Wells though. He tends to be more conservative, and he has a hard time leaving the politics out of the discussion!

I thought he was back in Parumph. Could be wrong.

FWIW a long time ago before he made it he used to call me while I worked the nightshift at WSHH. He was looking for a gig and wanted me to put a word in for him. He would fax me stuff and we’d talk for hours.

He was interesting but having a tough time in his life. Often he was ...under the weather. Wish I had kept in contact with him.

Art Bell only lasted a couple of weeks on XM.
A sudden and mysterious demise.
