Consider the lame-duck descent confirmed. A day after the Washington Post/ABC poll showed disapproval for Barack Obama and ObamaCare reaching new highs, the new CBS News poll shows his approval plummeting nine points in a month to 37%. Support for the Affordable Care Act managed to drop even faster:

Nothing in that cartoon about running guns, a dead border agent and 200 dead Mexicans.
The first line of the article is “Consider the lame-duck descent confirmed.”
More descriptive would be “Consider the incompetent marxist lame-duck descent confirmed.”
If they say he’s at 37.. lookout!
It may be closer to 25..............
It’s just about to the point that ONLY his wacko, hardcore.. to the end supporters are still with him along with the welfare crowd...
I see they are using the term, “Affordable Care Act” instead of ObamaCare.
A lame attempt by the media to split the president from this debacle.
Too late pressholes.
Unfortuantely, he can still do tremendous damage through the executive branch and jusdicary. For years and years to come.
Bump for later
I’m hoping after the 2014 elections we might have the votes to remove him from office.
It would be nice if there was a way to not just remove him from office.. but also just erase all of the decisions of his Presidency altogether.
As if it never happened.
Of the 37%:
10% are reverse-racists and will support Obama until he turns white
12% believe Elvis is still alive
Leaving 15% who are deep-left-marxists or brain-dead apathetic
He’s free and clear as a lame (f)duck, he doesn’t care
You left out the press pumping that number up.
If they say 37 then it’s probably more like 25...
LOL! If that were the approval number in my house, it would be a net gain of about +49 from where he’s been since he first ran. He really is invisible cause I can see right through him.
More descriptive would be Consider the incompetent marxist lame-duck descent confirmed.
Still more descriptive would be "Consider the traitorous incompetent marxist lame-duck descent confirmed."
excellent point. I am reminded by these stories of the Tyrants polling problems of a sand art -thingy I have where if you spin it the sand inside changes its form. My own opinion of the O remains petty much as it was when he was the selected champion of the “progressives” Our first black President —and all that. IT seems some who had high expectations are now changing their public opinion of him . The sands shift. I wish he would be held accountable for his crimes against my Country but I am not delusional enough to expect to see such justice made manifest.
He’s actually losing a good portion of the welfare crowd. Witness that WA state single mom from his press conference who found out that “affordable” coverage was 3x what she could afford to pay.
This implosion is similar to Bush’s ... Like Bush when he tried for things like immigration reform, Obamas now losing his own base for not staying true to them.
And he keeps digging..
Man, this is a great post!
Yep, I’ve definitely noticed this transition by the corrupt MSM, calling it the AFA rather than the customary Obamacare as they used to.
New headline for the newspapers should read:
“Odumbo’s ratings continue in the right direct”.
Next month when the odumbocare fiasco fails surther, the headline then should read: “Odumbo Ratings In Freefall”.
Gotta love it!
I guess leading from behind is not such a smart strategy after all...
If you factor in the liberal cover it is probably more like 30%.
It’s getting to the point where his popularity is almost limited to just the demographics of blacks, homosexuals, political radicals and the mentally incompetent.
I see the MSM is stll spotting him 30 points
But what if there is a different explanation? His numbers did not noticeably fail because the IRS, NSA, Benghazi, fast and furious, Egypt, Syria when the mainstream media either excused his misdeeds or simply ignored them. That factor did not apply in the unraveling of Obamacare, most of the mainstream media, with notable exceptions such as the New York Times, pointed out that his administration was grossly incompetent, and he himself was not telling the truth or was even lying. It became permissible to criticize President Barak Hussein Obama and his numbers fell.
This tells me that nothing has changed since election 2012, the media still controls the outcome. If they can hold up Obama through all of the scandals and bring him to victory in 2012, if they could hide or minimize his radical socialism since 2007, they can do so again in 2014 and in 2016 on behalf of Democrats-and they will.
We all know the Democrats will engage in election campaigns of demonization against Republicans playing the race card and the sex card. Nothing has occurred which we should lead us to believe that the media will not carry just as much water in support of these lies as they have in the past. Nothing so far should convince us that they will be any less effective.
Good post. The real number is probably something well below 37.
In the world of politics, nobody wants to be in the 30’s. Its the political danger zone for sure. Obama is now widely perceived as an incompetent manager and a liar. His credibility is in shreds.
Being in the 30’s he’s in the political equivalent of quicksand. Its nice to see him struggle for once.
Great cartoon. Totally true.
BFD, it could be zero%, we are still stuck with this POS for 3 more years....
from Your lips to G-d’s ears.
I never saw a scorecard for all of Clinton’s EO’s that Bush rescinded. Undoing the evil he is visiting upon the military, EPA, DAG, Energy, Education, Commerce, IRS, FBI, Secret Service, Homeland Security, judiciary and so on—will take a generation to fix.
If he were a republican, the media would be pushing the meme that he’s lost his mandate
and that none of his agenda should be considered.
I don’t recall instances where the DBM en masse turned viciously on a president to this extent, then later backtracked. There have been isolated instances of truthful reporting even on Obama, which was quickly forgotten because it was rare.
The difference this time is that, unlike F & F, Benghazi, etc., people are personally being impacted.
Obama did not make and repeat erroneous promises about the other scandals. But he faced the cameras several dozen times and outright lied about ACA. His numerous attempts to explain the lie and his non-apology have been cow flops.
People believed him and now they see the negative impacts of placing their trust in him.
He’s also being portrayed as somewhat of a buffoon with his repeated denials that he knew anything about what the negative impact of ACA would be and also what a disaster the rollout would be.
People are scratching their heads wondering why he didn’t know these things. Shouldn’t his staff have kept him in the loop?
He needs a big time game changer. Canning Sebelius, Taverner and others affiliated with the botched rollout might buy him some time and accolades. But it would also validate everything his critics have been asserting.
Up to now, it’s been pretty obvious what Obama’s MO was, but nothing makes sense anymore.
Thanks for the cover humor, Friend. Any White woman stupid enough to contribute money to the empire of this outspoken bigot probably was an Obama voter.
One thing has changed, once you lose your credibility it is almost impossible to get it back.
“LOL! If that were the approval number in my house, it would be a net gain of about +49 from where hes been since he first ran. He really is invisible cause I can see right through him.”
See right through him? They would call that transparency.
First he is the iconic first black president and that image must be held pristine at all costs.
Second, the failure of Obamacare is the failure of big government so some way around the proposition that big government is the problem must be found because the mainstream media is wedded to the proposition that government is the solution.
Third, the media generally believes that the implementation of Obamacare has been a failure but the object, redistribution of wealth and the application of health insurance to all no matter what the cost, is laudable and should be protected.
Fourth, the media viscerally dislikes the Republicans especially their tainted relationship with Christians And the Tea Party and will do everything they can to break the Republican base away and encourage third-party candidates.
The media ain't done yet.
Odd that the opposition party keeps running Dole, Kerry and Romney etc against these presidents the American public is ready to tire of. Romney was probably the strongest of that group and of course Clinton had Perot to help him both times.
I am not a conspiracy guy so I don’t see one here either. But we have an ultimate DC insider and two guys from MA a state well outside the mainstream. I can not imagine anytime that Dole or Kerry would have won.
“Its getting to the point where his popularity is almost limited to just the demographics of blacks, homosexuals, political radicals and the mentally incompetent.”
Or liberals, but that would be redundant.
What do you call a president with the lowest approval rating ever? "Mr President."
I would bet the latter.
The fact that his numbers are as high as 37% shows that
we have bigger problems in this country than just Obama.
Still way too high
LOL! The “lyin’ king” just keepin’ his promise to be the most transparent administration ever. The promise of energy prices skyrocketing looks like it’s on track too. I guess a lot of didiots thought that was a great idear. Especially since the government would “help” them pay these new prices. As well as their mortgages and a boat load of other “free” stuff. Laughin’ to keep from cryin’. (Almost forgot. The price of ammo will necessarily skyrocket too. No lie there)
Rolling kidd...loud wierd guffaws..scaring the new kitty.
