Part 3 (part 1 at #138)

—— “your fantasy about spirits and unknown faster-than-light existence and all kinds of chimera.”

That is the root of your problem right there, viz., your pride. You don’t like someone telling you things you don’t know, cannot fathom, and are in no position to refute. Instead of ignoring or simply saying you disagree, you went into a tantrum blasting anything and everything in sight including the use of conditional statements and trying to negate everything I posted (See #135)

Now I am holding you accountable for your irresponsible statements. Once again, here are the two questions you have yet to respond to:

Q 1:
— “The critique about your argument is that it is completely invalid.”

Please explain.

Q 2:
— “None of your preconditions are true,”

On what grounds do you make that assertion?

Since you’re such an honorable person and fervent believer in scientific investigation, I’m looking forward to some valid reasoning from you. No hiding behind obscure and irrelevant terms, and, above all, please refrain from labeling anything a fallacy, invalid, etc. before you can prove it.

But seriously, judging from the way you are going, I really cannot see how you can win in the way you want. Maybe you will find a way to weasel out. Maybe you will surprise me and act like a truly honorable person and issue a simple apology or at least retreat. But whatever you post will be recorded for history.

Why shouldn’t I just skip over it?
***And why shouldn’t I just skip over all garbage you just wrote in furtherance of fantasy?

If life here happened by chance using available materials, then it had to happen billions of other places too. Also, nothing says that a planet needs to be similar to Earth... unless we're only looking for other life similar to ours.

Bottom line... If we are the result of random mixing of stuff, then the whole universe would be loaded with all sorts of living stuff...and we would see some evidence of it.

Yes, you should skip, by all means.

Only it is in effect a retreat after a resounding defeat.

You're absolutely right, it's a retreat in the face of withering fire of fallacy & fantasy.

Your Aura is Blue
Spiritually defunct, you tend to live a quiet and deluded life.
You are very giving of yourself when it comes to your opinions, regardless of the facts involved. And it's hard for you to let go of a wonderful fantasy.

The purpose of your life: showing off.

Famous blues include: Angelina Jolie, the Dali Lama, Oprah

Careers for you to try: Psychic, Peace Corps Volunteer, Counselor; Bureaucrat; Shoe Salesman

You already lost the argument when you cannot counter the other side by skipping (see #143).

Yet you still want to have the last word.

Well, some people may find your last post interesting, but I’m sure even they can recognize it as a distraction to cover the fact that you have been soundly defeated.

***Oh, feel free to have the last word. It seems important to you.

The book “Geometry, relativity, and the fourth dimension” by Rudy Rucker, 133 pages, (not the larger, 228 page book by the same author) has a brief introduction to 4D space, and the story of a 2D fellow named A. Square and his adventure meeting a 3D sphere. Very interesting read all within the first 20 pages or so of the book.

The rest of the book is too technical for most people, so for those interested, I recommend finding the book in the library (local or interlibrary), and reading the opening pages only (up to the start of Euclidean geometry).
