U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Wednesday accused the Muslim Brotherhood of “stealing Egypt’s revolution”, AFP reported.

In a speech to a forum on enhancing links between private sector businesses and diplomatic security agencies, Kerry said “the best antidote to extremism is opportunity.”

“Those kids in Tahrir Square, they were not motivated by any religion or ideology,” he said.

“They were motivated by what they saw through this interconnected world, and they wanted a piece of the opportunity and a chance to get an education and have a job and have a future, and not have a corrupt government that deprived them of all of that and more,” added Kerry. …

Sounds like what American’s want.

Obama sprung the Muslim bros from gaol and overthrew the govt of Egypt to install his Muslim bro islamofascist comrades into power there. Kerry is either a complete mental defective or else he lies like his boss. Or both.

This statement proves that John F’ing Kerry is dumber than dirt. He was a dolt as a senator, but as Secretary of State he's totally unqualified and way out of his league.

Sure, as we did in building schools and hospitals in Iraq and they still get daily bombings from whatever Muslim faction, and the same thing in Aftanicrap that is heading back to the Taliban, the most awful people on the planet.

Preach it Kerry, you're just another stupid feel good tool for al Queda and the Taliban because you actually think you can reason with these insaniacs.

In all my political history, I have never seen such naive people in Fedgov positions. It all started with Obambi's apology tour and bowing before the King of Saudi Arabia. These mororns think if we play nice enough, the World will forgive us for being involved in world politics.

As a 16 year boy with a paper route, I knew then that there are bad people of this planet that you can never appease and just wanted to steal my papers from me and my collection money. Many fights occurred to protect my route.

The USA is now governed by adolescences who simply don't get you can't negotiate with the bullys on the playground. You either present strength/fight or "negotiate" and get taken advantage of.

Obambi and Co are our Chamberlains of this era.

I so miss Ronald Reagan.

Kerry is right.

It was Obama and Hillary (& Huma) that enabled and emboldened the muslim brotherhood to seize power. I am glad he recognizes they are a problem.

He is one of the most ignorant people out there when it comes to understanding Islamic takeovers...I met him in Al Hillah Iraq in 2006 - totally a bliss to the growing insurgent resistance and cared more about intel to embarrass the current president...he threw his medals away - so did he as far as integrity....TRAITOR!

At this point, it is clear, even to the likes of Ketchup-Boy, that we are losing Egypt. Of course, the horses have pretty much left the barn. Thanks to Obama’s disasterous Middle East policies, no one in the region really trusts us: not the Egyptians, not the Saudis, and certainly not the Israelis. This is all about CYA—nothing more.

Yes, in the same way that Robert Johnson stole the blues.

Kerry is off message...Obama and his muslim brothers planned the takeover of Egypt. But the military executed a counter 'coup de tat' and took egypt back, surprising obama. Kerry must have been out of the loop or didn't get the memo.

Egypt is now looking toward Russia as it's new ally. .

translation - the naive Leftist inspired policy wonks in charge of U.S. foreign relations lately thought THEY had engineered the “Arab Spring” and that THEY could control the end results of it; meanwhile, the real ground game in Egypt was already in the hands of the Muslim Brotherhood and the secularists were not in charge but just their useful idiots.

What is Kerry upset about? Obama’s “national building” plans in the Middle East have failed.

Thanks Olog-hai. Just a little CYA from the White Hut, notice there's nothing much new here:
“Those kids in Tahrir Square, they were not motivated by any religion or ideology,” he said. “They were motivated by what they saw through this interconnected world, and they wanted a piece of the opportunity and a chance to get an education and have a job and have a future, and not have a corrupt government [iow, Mubarak] that deprived them of all of that and more,” added Kerry...
