“””The 1999 Ford Expedition SUV Sarah Palin drove while governor of the small town of Wasilla, Alaska, is going to the highest bidder on Ebay. “”””
I didn’t know small towns had governors.
Here’ another historic item no one wants:
Buy it now for 99 cents. Way over-priced at that.
"We put it out there to get a better return on taxpayer dollars by listing it as her car than just selling it 'as-is,'" Public Works Director Archie Giddings said Wednesday. "It may have some value to somebody ... knowing who had it originally."
Good for them. We could use a lot more common sense, fiscal responsible government.
Here’s the eBay link:
Looks in decent shape, some mech probs.
Show me thr CarFax.
Obama’s paperwork, qualifications and Nobel Prize.
Way overpriced, but Ebay isn’t supposed to dump garbage.
Hmm. I’m more interested in Jon Voight’s LeBaron.
They use AutoCheck Experian (a competitor)
it’s clickable on the advert
The Lib derision is misplaced. Sarah just proved she’s WAY smarter than the libs.
A lib would’ve traded the vehicle in for a new ElectroButterfly vehicle of some sort...and gotten $1299 in trade-in value.
Sarah sells it on eBay and get’s $10,000+.
Who’s smiling on the way to the bank?
It never belonged to Palin, it was titled to and is being sold by the City of Wasilla. She drove it as a perk for being Mayor.
I think it burned up.
The bidding on it proves the author of that page is an idiot.
Perhaps, but a lot of eBay items are relisted with the explanation "bidder unable/unwilling to complete transaction"
He’s still an idiot. ;-)
that made me smile :)
There are bids now.
Two of the 3 bidders are eBay newbies. Those are always suspicious. But most listings like this don’t heat up until the last day.
I’m surprised the number of page views is so low (5700) I figured it would get that many just from curious FReepers.
It’s a bit big for me to ship down from Alaska, but there’s a neat photo of Palin in the drivers seat.
Yeah shipping to the lower 48 is a lot of money. Via ferry from Anchorage and then transporter.
Yeah I know. Funny though...
If its thing you don’t want, why is the bid up to $10,000? It needs work. Look at the bids for other 99 Expeditions.
See my post at 19.
