WASHINGTONName just about any common problem with Obamacare and Jeremy Oosterhouse has experienced it.
Canceled healthcare coverage? Check. Facing higher premiums? Check
Cant get HealthCare.gov to work? Check.
Oosterhouse, a youth pastor in Palos Heights, Ill., is losing his individual Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance plan at the end of the yeareven though he likes it. In lieu of an operational government healthcare exchange website, the husband and father of two set out on his own to research the available insurance options. The news wasnt good: A plan with similar coverage and higher premium takes the family deductible from $2,500 to $4,500, and if he wants a premium close to what hes paying now, the deductible skyrockets to $12,500.
When President Obama said if you like your plan you can keep it, I believed him, Oosterhouse told me.
Its no accident that Oosterhouse, 29, is facing higher premiums: Costs are going up for most ages, but young adults, and especially males, are being hit the hardest. In the 43 states where 2014 premiums are rising, a 27-year-old faces an average premium increase of 72 percent, compared to a 44 percent average increase for a 50-year-old, according to Heritage Foundation data. That means Americans with modest incomes, growing families, and mounds of college debt are bearing the brunt of the presidents healthcare overhaul.

The stupidity, it burns.
It is past time to stop shrugging our shoulders and assuming that the younger generations will always be “low information” and “ignorant.”
It IS time to start looking everyone in this country who is between 20 and 40 and DEMANDING that they spend time paying attention to what their government is doing. Local and federal. And whenever they cannot hold a basic conversation about current legislation, light into them to go get up to speed.
We cannot continue like this. We cannot continue to have stupid people who don’t even know how stupid they are running things. That goes for the voters AND the politicians themselves.
Sorry but I can’t understand any pastor who would vote for a party that booed God and supports abortion. If you dance with the devil you’re going to get burned.
Smiling faces, sometimes, they don't tell the truth.
Weapons Grade Stupidity.
I look at anyone between 20 and 40 and view them as profoundly stupid until proven otherwise.
The article doesn’t actually say he voted for Obama, but it implies it.
All we have to do is increase the subsidies... then it will be free for more people and more people will join... easy
If they have jobs, they are being robbed to support Social Security and Medicare benefits which far exceed those they will receive when they are our age.
They have subjected to mountains of debt by university costs bloated by the federal student loan program.
And finally, they are being robbed of the opportunity to start meaningful careers by an economy suppressed by five years of Obama's mismanagement and ideologies.
Ask yourself which of the two major parties is most resistant to changing Obamacare, senior entitlements, the federal student loan programs, and Obama's envionmental, financial and regulatory policies. Then ask yourself why the kids still vote for Democrats.
