5 good reasons why Democrats should push for ObamaCare's repeal

Repeal: Democrats might think the Frankenstein's monster they've created with ObamaCare can be tamed before the next election by applying a few bandages and stitches. If so, they are badly misinformed.

On CNN last week, DNC head Debbie Wasserman Schultz told Candy Crowley that "Democratic candidates will be able to run on ObamaCare as an advantage leading into the 2014 election."

It reminds us of what David Axelrod claimed back in March 2010, when he told Crowley that Democrats would be rewarded in November for enacting ObamaCare.

Axelrod was profoundly wrong. Voters severely punished Democrats for ObamaCare, handing control of the House — and nearly the Senate — to the GOP.

And now, so is Wasserman Schultz.

The legislation itself is a minefield. “fixing” one section of it could offset other aspects that could create a cascade economic/social disaster for subjects of this democrat party tyranny.

In short, it cannot be fixed, it is designed to destroy. That was its purpose. Altering one section or another only speeds up the process of collapse.

As millions more are negatively impacted, pressure will grow on legislators to repeal all or part of the law. There are even Rat rumblings about that now (Lanny Davis, John Barrow).

This is going to be the most expensive legislative blunder in history.

First, there will be waves of additional cancellations next fall, as businesses that renewed their health plans early this year — to put off the ObamaCare hit — find that their plans can't be renewed and that ObamaCare-approved plans cost far more.

This will affect up to 100 million workers, right before the election.

This just in from Bloomberg: Insurers to Get Extra Month to Set 2015 Obamacare Rates to allow them to adjust to growing pains, which will coincidentally postpone the higher rates until after the 2014 elections.

Have almost (not quite yet) adapted the let it crash and burn mantra. The only problem with let it crash and burn is all Americans will be harmed or burned (imho) during the crash and burning. I maybe am viewing this wrongly, cause as stated almost ready, to take the crash and burn approach. The only other solution is repeal and that has about no chance in hades.

Hundreds (maybe thousands) of extremely ill people who had their insurance cancelled by obamacare regulations and were unable to obtain and/or afford a new obamacare policy will start to DIE after January 1, 2014 because they can no longer obtain health care. It is a blunder if you believe that cutting through a tree with a chain saw is a blunder because the tree falls. It ain’t like anybody really believed it would stand up after you cut through it you know. Only the “useful idiots” ever believed Obamacare was intended to work. Those who wrote the mess knew damned well it was intended NOT to work.

They won’t support repeal. In response to each crisis, they will first look for Obama to extend the crisis to later by executive order. Then, if that fails, they will vote to ban the crisis—for example, a law requiring that old insurance plans be reinstated.

The problem with their approach is twofold: (1) The crises will unfold one after another. The people most affected by the crises (cancellations and greatly increased premiums and deductibles) will be employed or self-employed middle class Americans and young, healthy Americans, and over 65 Amerians. A ten point swing in those votes will bring the democrats down. A twenty percent swing is veto proof majorities. These groups are too big even if the dems share of the ethnic vote goes from 95% to 98%. (2) Fiscal meltdown. Every one of the coming crises was a necessary element in Obamacare. For example, making employed middle class people pay a lot more for insurance is necessary to pay for the subsidies for poorer people and Medicaid, which is free and hugely expanded. The “crisis” groups are the ones paying free health care for everyone at 138% of the poverty level or less and subsidized health care for people who make a little more than that. So when the dems vote to “solve” one of the crises, they are voting for the taxpayers to make up the price of the solution or to run higher deficits. Guess what happens.

These groups are too big even if the dems share of the ethnic vote goes from 95% to 98%.

That's exactly WHY "Comprehensive" Immigration Reform must be completed in time for the 2014 election. They need MORE Dem voting minorities to carry them through.

That is key to knowing which of our "conservative" and otherwise Republicans aren't Republican at all. Those who vote for CIR are the supreme political class where it's really only one party with Kabuki to keep the voters entertained and fooled.

I do not believe that millions of Americans who are left without affordable insurance (but used to have it!) will quietly curl up and die. The government may have lots of power over citizens, but it has no power over people who have a death sentence in hand.

The ACA doesn't need to be repealed. It is an unconstitutional act and was void upon passage. The ACA originated in the Senate and was confirmed to be a tax by the USSC. All revenue bills must originate in the House, IAW Article 1, Section 7. This means the ACA is unconstitutional and void.

No one mentions it: Federal health insurance will take away your freedom to choose another doctor if you do not agree with the first one’s decision. Better keep “freedom” in mind so you have choice.

When my doctor decided my daughter could not have a tonsillectomy I found another doctor in a different clinic. He agreed with my wishes to have the child get a tonsillectomy. It turned out to be the correct decision. I am glad I had the freedom to find the doctor we needed.
