Nope. A Jimmy Carter appointee. Senior judge status, so she only takes the cases she wants (or meet her agenda) now.

Have you made a serious effort amongst your neighbors to change the school board? Until you do, don’t expect change.

Yes we have. So far we’ve gotten 2 members elected. One is reliably conservative. The other, not so much. It is very difficult to change a School Board which is elected “at large”. The uperintendant and the Teachers’ Union operate an “Educational Foundation” (read lobby group) that does their bidding. Anyone with a contrary opinion is considered a criminal, or worse! We need 3 members who will vote as a block. We’ll keep trying.

When Pastors lacked enough compensation to live on because the church was too poor to pay enough. But, today? Still possible, of course, as I know some who have tiny churches. However, when you think about the average church, they should do their best to pay the pastor a living salary,

Glad that you've given me an opportunity to educate you in an area where you obviously lack knowledge. Generally speaking, a church is going to need at least 100 members to be self-sustaining with a full time pastor. Excluding Catholic and Eastern Orthodox, 59% of Christian congregations in the US are smaller than that (100 members probably is going to be 30-50 families). Another 35% are 100-500 members. Those at the upper end of that group are going to be able to pay a 'living salary'. Only one-half of one percent of the congregations have 2000 or more members.

So approximately 2/3 of the churches aren't going to be able to pay a pastor a 'living salary'. He's going to either have to have a part time job, be retired, or be independently wealthy.

Urban Black preachers have always been reliable in delivering votes for the liberals. It will be interesting to see if this has any impact on that dynamic.

The next step will be a determination that the value of church-supplied housing is imputed income and subject to taxation as ordinary income.

No I mean every adult should pay something every year. They are citizens. They expect the right to vote. If they are adults they should pay something. Even if it is ten dollars. Something.

As for income taxes. They are a communist idea, particularly a progressive income tax. We should elimintate the income tax for a consumption tax.

That being said, if an income tax it is, let it be a flat tax.

we had a small Methodist Church that was assigned a known drug addict as the pastor in order to bring it down so it would quit being a haven for the huge Methodist megachurch’s parishioners that got sick of never seeing the same people twice.

we we fought the guy, we fought the superintendent and finally we won. they sent another dweeb, I had quit by then and gone back to the Catholic church, the remaining parishioners survived the dweeb and now have a great pastor.

Have no tax breaks for anybody... schools, religious orgs, etc.. then nobody needs to hire lobbyists to grovel in D.C. to get their pet org any deal.....and then when you are paying your tax, you tell this secular humanist govt to shove it..tell your congregations this govt is no friend of the Sovereign and this govt is exactly like spiritual Egypt or a Babylon and our people need to freed and not cry foul over perceived slights like trees, decorations or holidays.. heck, even pay more than others for persecution sake... and tell the muslim in the whitehouse or the previous Jorge bush and his faith based govt creeping hands to kiss off ..ask for a separation of your church and the statist state.... treat the local, county, state and fed govt no different than secular pharoahs..... when you don’t rely on govt for tax breaks, you won’t be made silent or boxed into secular humanism which is what is the state religion you want to be freed from-their religion taught in govt schools, preached on their TV and legislated in their assemblies....this is no Messiah led country when you see the abortion stats, crimes stats. This country sells and buys the most booze, drugs, porn, violent movies, games, not to mention the marriages going on nowadays... you name it... the state religion on display.. who wants to be in bed with that harlot for a little tax forgiveness?
