Can we prevent nuclear plants from ever being unionized or hiring unknown illegals?

Golly gee NYTimes... you are behind the times. This information was true in the 70’s when YOU were supporting the anti-nuke hippies and lefties who were (as they are now the anti-coal, fracking, oil greenie/reds) all for anything that slowed or stopped the US industrial engines and full employment. The 70’s— remember them. And, of all things... the French get most of their electrical energy from— nuclear power, and as such can dabble in world oil through ELF Acquitaine oil consortium over a gas pipeline through Afghanistan and Syria to break the Russian monopoly on EU natural gas. While the US continues to suck on the Saudi and Canadian teat for imported oil. Brilliant NY slimes.

And.... what IF fossil fuels... aren’t from fossils. There is much to explain how oil may be found 5 miles below the surface and under 5 miles of ocean.

Who is EDUARDO PORTER “

Eduardo was hired by the NYT after he finished at the top of his 2nd grade class after 30 years of effort. The Times hired 49-year-old Eduardo as a representation of what the Times is - clods, commies and clowns. It’s in our interest to hire the most stupid people on Earth to accurately reflect our readership who are clods, commies and clowns. Where it would take a thousand monkeys typing for a thousand years to create one story, Eduardo can type nothing in a million years. He reflects perfectly the innate stupidity of everyone who scribbles meaningless garbage at the Times.

BTW, you can’t comment on this story because you might upset and sink the drooling morons and clods sailing on the sinking Times ship. FU.

True, if anti-zionism in this case neglects the exportation of terror that a nuclear armed Iran would bring to Israel. The slimes certainly has a pro muzzie world view, whether sunni or shiite. The French have mostly nukes, have helped Iranians (and Syrians for that matter), and are noted as well as anti-jewish.

It’s the new pseudo conservative liberalism— Francophonism. Hey, Jimmy Buffett say’s he’s a Francophone, so it MUST be hip and OK (and you can still hate Jews— when will they learn in the entertainment world).

Unavoidable Answer for the Problem of Climate Change [New York Times endorses nuclear power]

NYT are obviously not the sharpest tools in the drawer.
Many of us reasoned that out way before "global warming/climate change) was invented.
Even without climate change it makes total sense because the way power generation has been done forever, using plants spaced many hundreds of miles from where the power is needed, half the transmitted power is dissipated (wasted in transmission!)

If military nuclear subs circle the globe constantly without any power generating related disasters, more logically located smaller power plants for civilian use make total sense.
Of course that would mean that the social parasites pushing solar, cow manure, wind and algae for powering our society (in and out of government) would need to be relegated to the nut case subculture where they belong.

For ten years, I belonged to an "Energy Task Force " in a California city in the 70s.
Solar and wind made no sense then.
And it makes no sense today, 40 years later.

Reid has steadfastly opposed construction in Nevada of permanent storage facilities for spent fuel rods and other longterm nuclear waste.

Once sanctions are lifted from Iran, there will be a (temporary) dip in crude prices, which will undermine the fracking boom — and that’s one of the chief motivations behind what passes for Zero’s Middle East policies.

Thanks grundle. And meanwhile:

Of course: Keystone XL opponents now turning to blocking rail transport in earnest

Lord I hope they put them all in “fly over country”. Those are good jobs!

oil is oozing up from the bowels of the earth and is abiotic, always there somewhere. Your examples are more proof of same.

We should build nuclear, natural gas and coal plants because it’s good for America. All home grown. CO2 is a scam.

energy consumption expected to grow by more than half over the next 30 years

Not if we stop importing free stuff voters from third world countries. The pollution footprint of the typical NYC import is 10 times that if they were left in situ, not to mention all the flights back and forth until they've brought over their entire extended clan. Then big gov hires a trove more affirmative action carbon big foots that consume more energy for a negative net return.

If America had controlled immigration like sane countries do we would be 80% conservative Republican today.

Considerable amount of research, done by..ta da! oil companies... posit that petroleum results from deep internal pressure and reactions from within the outer core of the Earth. As such is NOT produced from dead dinosaurs or proto- flora.

I say we need to get the takers on a treadmill hooked up to the grid for 48 hr/wk.
So many kWh/day or no pay.

If by "takers," you mean able-bodied welfare entitlement parasites, you got my vote!

LIBs have incredible self-loathing which results in blown circuitry in their logic circuits. Just about anything that is written in the Slimes is witness to this.

When you have Fukushima and Hanford fully cleaned up, you can proceed with nuclear power. In the interim, we have plenty of coal with clean burning plants. The hazards associated with coal are tiny compared to nuclear. The nuclear industry is going to be sued into oblivion for the mess Fukushima continues to dump into the air and ocean.

It pi$$es me off no end that the Makers spend ~40% of their "productive" hours working for the "public good" while the Takers spend ZER0 % of their time doing ANYTHING for anybody else.

It's gotta change.
