Ted Cruz "Thanked" In New TV Ad Campaign - Airing on Thanksgiving

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Monday, November 25, 2013
CONTACT: Ryan Gill - RyanJamesGill@gmail.com

This Thanksgiving Day powerful TV ads will air across the state of Texas "thanking" Senator Ted Cruz for leading the fight against Barack Obama's failed ObamaCare healthcare scheme. The ads will run during the highly-rated NFL Thanksgiving Day football games and during the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade on one-dozen (12) TV stations across Texas.

The TV ads are paid for by the Conservative Campaign Committee (website: www.ConservativeCampaign.org), a federal political action committee that endorsed Cruz for Senate in the 2012 runoff election and ran ads supporting his campaign then - and the organization is proud to continue to support Cruz today. "Senator Cruz has clearly been vindicated in his efforts to stop ObamaCare from causing real harm to millions of Americans. Senator Cruz was right about ObamaCare, and Barack Obama was wrong, and now the American people know the truth," said Lloyd Marcus, Chairman of the Conservative Campaign Committee.

The 60-second ad can be viewed online here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4d9m-7LXTzI

The ad will air on the following TV stations in Texas, and the total cost of the ad buy is approximately $50,000:

The Conservative Campaign Committee Chairman, Lloyd Marcus, also penned a column for American Thinker supporting Cruz's fight against ObamaCare that was published today: "Mr. Cruz Goes to Washington"

And Conservative Campaign Committee Vice Chairman, Selena Owens, penned this column on Senator Cruz's bold leadership of the conservative movement: "GOP Needs More Leaders, Not Managers"

For more information about the ad campaign "thanking" Senator Ted Cruz, contact Ryan Gill, Vice President of the Conservative Campaign Committee at: RyanJamesGill@gmail.com

The ad campaign expands to other states for New Years Eve - we'll be buying time on the New Years Countdown Shows before the ball drops in Times Square.

More info on that soon...

this. take donations to take this commercial national in states like Ohio, Virgina and Florida. Texas is great but it’s preaching to the choir.

it’s a great ad.

Yes, you are correct, it IS preaching to the choir by airing this in Texas. But we did this deliberately.

We decided to start here in Texas and then expand to other states. Why Texas first?

Because after Obama's partial government shutdown was over, the media went and did polling on Cruz both nationally and then in his home state. They wanted to see how much damage they had done (between the Obama-liberals-media smear campaigns against that 'terrorist' Ted Cruz... a smear campaign that was assisted by some disgraceful souls in the GOP who happily backstabbed Cruz.)

So we wanted to make sure we helped boost Cruz's favorables first in Texas and then work beyond there to help undo some of the damage the media smear campaign did to Cruz's standing nationally.

So that's the plan.

I am thankful for the courageous and visionary leadership of Ted Cruz. It is a rare man indeed who is willing to stand up to members of one's own party in order to follow through on commitments made to constituents.

Senator Cruz has had an enormous positive impact since joining the Senate early this year. He has been instrumental in providing winning arguments on all the major issues: gun control, sequestration, Syria, amnesty, and now healthcare. I'm thankful Senator Cruz is on our side! He will be an outstanding president.

For Thanksgiving we start in Texas - since the media was obsessing over where Cruz's poll numbers ranged in Texas following Obama's government shutdown (and also compared to Cornyn's poll numbers) and then we'll do states outside of Texas for New Year's Eve, as we'll be buying time in the New Years Eve countdown to Midnight Shows as the ball drops in Times Square.

This Thanksgiving buy in Texas is Stage 1.

I think I’d be worried if Rove and McCain thought this was a good ad campaign. What they are ‘thankful’ for, and what we all in the conservative grassroots are thankful for are two very different things.

This Thanksgiving buy in Texas is Stage 1.

Inasmuch as I admire what Cruz did, I think this style of advertising is more effective at raising money than it is at helping him convince those we need to reach. It's long on glowy adulation and short on information. My bet is an effective ad would do you better and it would only take 30 seconds, costing a half as much or reaching twice as many markets:

28 hour work weeks, higher insurance prices, millions lost health coverage, illegal waivers for the politically connected, no-bid contracts for a web site that doesn't work, a complete lack of privacy, massive bureaucracy, forcing the middle class onto Medicaid, a $5000 advantage for hiring illegals...

All of this when the Democrats promised us ObamaCare would be better and cheaper.

Ted Cruz warned us about ALL of this. Yet when the media were done with it all you heard about was "Green Eggs and Ham."

Get the truth about ObamaCare. Go to tedcruz.org (or some such).

Run it in swing states. What the group from which you are posting is doing, is risking looking like an ad agency hustling cash flow from the choir for feel-good commercials that don't work. In my opinion, they will alienate the people you need to bring over. I know you don't want to hear that, but it's just my opinion.

I was right about Arnold and his ballot propositions.

We disagree on strategy.

Our strategy is to head off the efforts by the GOP establishment to make Ted Cruz "radioactive."

That's what they are trying to do with Cruz, with Lee, with Justin Amash. Only thing is that they probably never conceived ObamaCare would turn out to be as bad as it's been on so many fronts.

You'd be amazed - or perhaps you wouldn't - at how many conservatives and even tea partiers have felt scared off that they can't publicly support Cruz because he did so much damage to the GOP and the conservative movement, blah, blah, blah...

So who our target audience is people who should be pro-Cruz, or at least receptive to his message, who have been scared off by those who want to push the Tea Party out of the GOP for good.

Given that Matt Bevin just completely blew out McConnell in a Kentucky Republican straw poll, perhaps those fears are overblown media creations.

Yup. Best we not let the MSM define our strategy. Cruz isn't.

Here is that data on Bevin: Matt Bevin Takes over 80% of Vote in Kentucky Straw Poll. He didn't win by just a bit.

Could be, however, it doesn't hurt in this scenario to be safe and double-down against the likes of Karl Rove and the GOP-E.

We need to destroy their base of power AND defend those standing with us like Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, etc.

Never let the enemy determine the field of battle. Use every resource to tactical advantage.

Over and over, I see "the professionals" wreck campaigns for their own benefit. The classic was when Bill Simon ran for governor and Parsky and crew stipulated Wilson Jones. The consultants tend to see everything through media and ad buys, in part, because they make their money on a percentage. It is this fee structure that has turned politicians into corporate whores, paying our enemies (the MSM) to get our message out and giving them advanced notice of every move.

I'm damned tired of it.
