Skip to comments.Poll: If voters had known they’d lose insurance, Romney would have won

If voters had been aware last year that they might lose their health-care plans when Obamacare went into effect, Republican President Mitt Romney would be sitting in the White House today, according to a poll released Friday.
A Wilson Perkins Allen Opinion Research survey conducted from Nov. 18-20 asked voters who supported President Barack Obama in 2012: As you may know, millions of Americans have lost their insurance plans despite President Obamas promise that, quote, if you like your plan, you can keep it. If you knew in 2012 that this promise was not true, would you still have voted for Barack Obama?
In response, 23 percent said they would not have voted to re-elect Obama, while 72 percent said they would still have voted for him. The largest number of defections were among female voters ages 18-54, 31 percent of whom said they would not have supported the president.
An ABC/Washington Post poll released earlier this week found that if they had a do-over, Romney would win 49 percent to 45 percent. The difference is within the margin of error of 3.5 percentage points, but Obama polls a lower percentage of the vote today than he did in November 2012.

Voters did know.
They didn’t care.
...till they discovered that it would effect them personally, that is...
A nation of gullible b@star@ds. It was clear as day but voters fell for the easy lies instead of thinking for themselves.
and if the fox hadn’t stop to $hit...He’d have caught the rabbit

that’s why the law was timed the way it was. the whole stinkin’ law has been timed to go off around elections, but I think it has finally caught up to them.
If my aunt had gonads, she's be my uncle. You don't get do-overs in national elections.
If voters didn’t have the IQ of a toilet seat, they would have known this was the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on any people throughout all history.

“If voters had known theyd lose insurance, Romney would have won”
That and 2 dollars will buy you a cup of coffee at Starbucks.
oh, I dunno. romney was a pretty huge disaster as a candidate.
short of BHO getting caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy, I’m not sure anything could have saved him.
Romney was the worst possible opponent to achieve that, since Obamacare was based on Romneycare.
So, what we're saying is that Romney ran a lousy campaign.
I agree with that.
He lied his way into office in 2008, so why would we expect he would do differently the second time?
Candy Crowley and her friends gave him an extra boost, too.
So, the best predictor of future performance is the person’s past performance? Turns out Mr. “I vote ‘Present’” doesn’t know what he’s doing? Maybe he can ask his real estate agent friend Valerie what to do.
“Paint it beige.”
72% would still vote for him even with the obamacare disaster.
Romney thought he could run strictly on the economy, and win. He was wrong.
“Voters did know.”
No, I don’t think they did. We don’t call them “low information voters” for nothing. And all they heard, the sum and entirety of the message the vast, uninformed, uninterested, non-wonky, unpolitical, etc. public heard re: Obamacare, from their PRESIDENT, and the MSM was: If you like your plan you can keep your plan.
Obama lied, the media was complicit.
SHOULD they have known? Sure, but they would have had to research it on their own. And they’d had so many reassurances why would they feel the need? Everyone who had insurance thought there would be no change for them.
And the way the media is acting they didn’t know either.
Ad that is one of the greatest lies of all time.
