Historically, when government is unable or unwilling to take the side of the people against criminals, or worse, takes the side of criminals against the people, vigilantism results.
Despite its government and media created bad reputation, the truth is that the vast majority of vigilantism is non-violent, and only seeks the restoration of order. It begins in ways recognizable to all, petitions for redress, efforts to vote in a better government, unarmed block watches to notify police of the presence and activities of criminals, and efforts by communities to insulate themselves from the criminals.
Only when all of this is thwarted, due to the intransigence of government, does the mood of vigilantism turn to organization. Almost immediately, this is seen by the government as a greater threat than are the criminals, so they seek to stop it by any means.
At some point, the police try to intimidate, arrest, or even brutalize the vigilante leaders, sometimes with the assistance of the criminals. Finally, after repeated acts of violence, the vigilante organization becomes a mob.
Even at this stage, they do not intend to cause injury, just to drive out the criminals. But if the criminals and the government resist, the mob will likely turn violent against them both. So either they flee or die.
Importantly, the foundations of vigilantism rely on the *dependence* of the public on government for protection. If the public can defend themselves, they do. Far more criminals were killed by vigilantism in California, but only one recorded case, a spontaneous case, in Arizona history.
Brought forward to today, the great advances of gun liberty in most of the US foretell the end to such street violence, at the hands of the citizenry. Except in places where the government has intentionally tried to disarm the public. There, the alternative remains vigilantism.
Black youths are attacking, robbing, raping, and murdering whites for reasons of stark racial hatred, not because they've studied Marx's Das Kapital. Race riots, black on white crime, and the state of inner cities have little to do with political ideology and everything to do with racial identity. The inner city thugs think of it in terms of us versus them, while watered-down, castrated GOPers think that the problem would go away if only we had some tax cuts.

My issue isn't with people reacting to Black hatred. My issue is with racialist intellectuals on the right who are the perfect complement of racist Blacks on the left, thus burying G-d and morality under an avalanche of biological identity.
Most Blacks are indeed unfortunately on the far, far, far, far left (that enough "fars" for you?). But that doesn't change the fact that Free Republic is a conservative (ie, ideological) forum, not a white racial forum . . . though there are apparently some people who would like it to be just that.
There are three ways to combat evil: two wrong ways, and one right way. One wrong way is to divide humanity into little parochial ethnic groups who each live in their own "holy land," have their own separate "gxd," and have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with one another (this is the old racialist intellectuals and the "kinists"). The other is to unite humanity under atheism, "science," or false religion. The one and only right way is to unite all people under the True G-d and His Laws.

The sensible time will never come; over-analyzing eats away the clock. I was married for a few years before having children, and those years were the best times of my life up to that point, but I see no point in marrying without having children (and no point in avoiding children while complaining about those who bother to do so). Money is tight, stress is high, and life will be shorter, but in the end I believe (personally) that this is what we are here for.
We don’t need free lunches; the deductions for children (and mortgage interest/property taxes if you go that route) help out a bit.
Never watched old Cowboy movies? Dry Gulching is when the good guys were riding through the narrow canyon or close valley and the bad guys, or Injuns, were up in the hills with guns and shooting down on the “sitting ducks” who had limited escape routes and no cover.
Not quite the same as when the carjack holderite yut comes to your car window and meets Mr. 45 ACP, but close.

I love Memphis, been down to Beal street a couple of times. A fun place, but surrounded by dilapidated black communities. One really has to watch their P's and Q's down there at night.
Same goes with Houston or any other major urban areas. Inner city blacks threaten the safety of those wanting to visit. It's not only blacks, there are large swaths of Houston one would hardly recognize as America.
Illegal aliens come here and setup a subculture complete that looks just like a Mexican border town. If I were to blindfold someone from the midwest and take’em down to some of these areas...they'd remove the blindfold and swear they were in Tijuana, Mexico.
Heaven forbid a white family would break down or have a flat tire in some of these neighborhoods in Houston during the late hours or at night. Acres homes, Pierce, 5th ward, Navigation and Canal streets.
Gangs of thugs OWN the streets at night. Greenspoint area of Houston, the police or first responders will not go there without backup. Reports of people taking pop shots at squad cars, ambulances raided while paramedics care for some innocent that took a cap from a banger.
It's just ridiculous. The whole PC thing to do is act like it's not happening. Ignore the fact that the inner cities are crumbling as white folks flee for the safety of the suburbs.
Advice..better pack some heat if traveling through these areas or your likely to become a blurb on the headline news.
If you think I’m some bleeding heart liberal, read my posting history. American Blacks, as far as I’m concerned, have turned against G-d by allying with atheists, homosexuals, and abortionists and will pay for it. This makes them exactly the same as racialist “traditional Southerners.”
Exactly ...it’s not that they are black, or stupid ...its who they have allied themselves with ... because of who they continually see themselves as — which is eternal victims.
Until they cut the “eternal victimhood” schtick, they aren’t going anywhere.
