US Shuts Down Vatican Embassy After Striking Deal with Iran

What would you do next if you had successfully brokered a “Neville Chamberlin” style deal with a rogue state that wants to annihilate America and her Middle East allies? Well. . . You’d downgrade diplomatic ties with the Vatican, of course. At least, that’s what you would do if you were working in the Obama White House. The White House has recently announced that they will shut down the US Embassy to the Holy See, and relocate it to a “safer” location on the grounds of the American Embassy in Italy.

Officially, the US is explaining the relocation effort as a security measure in reaction to the attack on the American consulate in Benghazi. . . Because, ya know, those crazy Vatican Catholics are a naturally militant bunch. Heaven forbid someone makes an anti-Christian movie! Whoa, the whole place could erupt into a deadly string of mass prayers and forgiveness! (Ahem… Sarcasm.)

The decision on part of the US Administration to move the American Embassy is being interpreted by many as a slap in the face to the Vatican. At the very least, it is likely to produce a tension that will lead to a deterioration of US/ Vatican communication and cooperation.

Adding to the suspicion that America’s decision is primarily political, and not based in security concerns, is the fact that the current Embassy has state of the art security. According to former US Ambassador James Nicholson, the current location is highly secure, and pivotal to continuing relations with the Holy See.

Besides: We’re talking about the US Embassy. . . In Vatican City. It’s not as if we’re discussing an un-fortified compound in the heart of a Libyan war-zone. (Cough*Benghazi*Cough) Here’s a solution: add a couple more Marines, and maybe borrow the Pope-Mobile for high profile visitors.

Suggesting that Obama is intentionally downgrading US/ Vatican ties due to some resentment toward Catholic policy would almost seem too petty to contemplate; until it is put into a broader perspective. The Holy See has proven, throughout the years, to be a monumental asset in world affairs. Our relationship with the Vatican aids in humanitarian missions, peace brokerage, and international trade with governments of all religious affiliations.

According to Nicholson, “This is anything but a good time to diminish the stature of this post. To diminish the stature of this post is to diminish its influence.” In an age where Obama’s allies in the Middle East include Taliban rebels and Al Qaida operatives, the timing seems even more precarious. When Iran feels emboldened on the world stage, when Israel feels threatened, and when Christians are finding the Middle East to be an ever-increasingly dangerous corner of the world, one would think the US Government would be bolstering its relationship with God’s emissary.

But. . . Maybe that’s the problem. Perhaps Obama is just a bit upset that the Catholic world headquarters hasn’t yet offered universal contraception to its female members. Or perhaps he’s a little unnerved about their use of the word “Christmas.” Or, maybe, he’s just feeling a bit irritated that the Pope consults God every day, rather than the White House.

Whatever the reason, the end result is the same: A sizeable devolution of US/ Vatican ties. Not to mention a marginal political fallout here at home. After all, Christians are less than pleased with the details of Obamacare, the repeal of “don’t ask don’t tell”, and the White House’s general disregard for religious liberty. So… What the heck? Go ahead and insult the Pope while you’re at it.

Furthermore, the move illustrates our President’s perspective on “right” and “wrong” when it comes to world events. It says something about the Administration’s world view when they champion an Iranian Nuclear deal that lifts sanction and emboldens our enemies the very same week they withdraw diplomatic ties from the Vatican.

At least When Neville Chamberlin was trotting around Europe declaring “peace in our time”, he was primarily naïve. That’s not necessarily the case with our current leader of appeasement.

Of course, then again, maybe the President is just trying to be fair. Maybe he didn’t want Israel to feel like the only religious sovereign-state to be snubbed by the US this week.

Too stupid.

Or perhaps not yet fully taken possession of by his father.

And add to that vein of thought that evil is an entirely different kind of intellect. It is not constructive, but destructive. It cannot comprehend love but understands evil in ways hardly imaginable to normal people.

In ways of evil and destruction, I think Obama is extremely bright. After all, look at the damage he has done to the greatest country in the world...he has brought us to our knees militarily, economically, and diplomatically without firing a single shot at us.

But any Catholic or Christian

If you are going to "leaflet" Catholics to get them on your side you should start by not offending them.

The only reason I do not believe he is the Anti-Christ, is because he is not popular. I got the idea that he will be able to fool the majority of the world. Maybe that is where I am wrong, while obama’s popularity is waning here in the U.S.A., he is still popular nearly everywhere else.

Lol. Difficult with this face-to-face thing on the net.

But yeah, I think the discussion bickering over what Obama is or isn’t, not to mention all the good reasons for doing nothing, will still be going when your heads roll on the ground and they’re firing up the ovens.

There’s an old word for it, used to good effect in Peer Gynt: The Bøyg.

This may be a dress rehearsal for the antichrist. Barack is at least yet, however, mostly bereft of the miracles that the biblical antichrist will manifest. Obamacare would succeed, not fail, if Obama was of that caliber. That said, the way the Democrats managed to engineer the votes in swing states was very close to eerie.

I would agree with that --- if the Embassy to the Vatican was actually AT the Vatican.

If it was... I would even suggest that the U.S. Gov could offer a half-million or so a year (to the Swiss Army?) sponsoring expansion of the Swiss Guards (to have a squad present on Vatican grounds) dedicated to falling back to U.S. consulate protection (if some assault were to occur) would be money well spent.

I can see the "hedonist, left-wing evil" clear enough. We've been looking at it for years, in multitudinous permutation and form.

But we must be careful with our manner of speech, for it's not logical (if but on the surface, or after appearances) to be against consolidation and solidification of U.S. Embassy presence in foreign lands on the one hand, while still rightfully enough criticizing the Obama Admin and SHrillary for having left Benghazi in the lurch.

But that's what they WANT us to do, so as to better deflect away from their own past mistakes, and present, ongoing agendas.

If we fall into the traps of making easy-peasy talking points for THEM, like characterizing this as moving Embassy Vatican from the Vatican itself -- which did not occur.

Rachel Maddow would be all over this mistake among our own, like a vacuum cleaner on a shag rug, making all sorts of "conservatives are so stupid" noises, thus helping to ensure that once again, the true, underlying grim realities of the guaranteed to eventually arrive consequences, which flow from godless liberals and their pet political policy "experiments", will keep leading us ever closer to this "holocaust" another spoke of (while the holocaust of abortion upon demand keeps racking up the baby-body count, along the way).

I'm not "averting my eyes"... but rather, trying to give a heads up, in hopes of us being better able to possibly break the cycle.

We can't go blasting at the targets -- and keep missing. We need to hit 'em, and keep hammering.

We know the liberals are against the very idea of there being a one true, "creator" God. Those who are not completely aligned with that sort of thinking, are against what they like to call "organized religion" and have recent successes at stifling religious expression in the public sphere.

We won't be able to defeat that, by playing to their strengths (like giving the Maddow's easy talking points).

In the last few months it has become increasingly apparent to me that the Dems have done well in coaxing us (by provocation) into shooting ourselves in the foot.

There was no U.S. consulate AT the Vatican. Take that talking point off our table...and neither is the one dedicated to being to that entity being now in process of being "closed", but instead -- having it's physical location moved.

the way the Democrats managed to engineer the votes in swing states was very close to eerie. I am not sure what you mean. The 2012 election or the obamacare vote? And why is i eerie?

I have said this many times before all across the web. Obama is an anti-Christ he works for Satan. He is evil to his festering core. Everything he does is against God and his word. Obama knows exactly what he is doing. He is a Moslem. All those who cannot understand why he behaves the way he does will not wrap their heads around these eternal facts. Christians know the end times are here and evil will get alot worse, Obama is a major part of this process. Don’t cloud your opinions with worldly reasoning Obama IS an anti-Christ just like Hitler and all those who have come before him.

He isn’t a fascist (national socialist) he is a Marxist (international socialist).

There is a difference. He has no love for this country.

Pope Francis (the talking mule) and Commandante Hussein....could they possibly be at loggerheads?

One is the destructor of Catholicism and the other of America.

I never saw any valid reason to have an embassy to Satan’s christ. It was disturbing from the beginning.

But Obama is likely to seek an embassy to the Kaaba, which is as bad or worse.

>> “Yes, there are many anti-christs, but there is still one single Anti-Christ who will be revealed when the Rapture takes place and the restraining influence of the Hinderer (Holy Spirit)is removed.” <<

.
Yeshua said that the Antichrist will be revealed 3.5 years before the resurrection:

Matthew 24:

3] And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
[4] And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
[5] For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
[6] And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
[7] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
[8] All these are the beginning of sorrows.
[9] Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
[10] And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
[11] And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
[12] And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
[13] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
[14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
[15] When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
[16] Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
[17] Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
[18] Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
[19] And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
[20] But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
[21] For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
[22] And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
[23] Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
[24] For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
[25] Behold, I have told you before.
[26] Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
[27] For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
[28] For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
[29] Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
[30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
[31] And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
[32] Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
[33] So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

So, you can see that "the Elect" will be present when AC is revealed.
