Deadline Day: Will Obamacare website work? (the law is the real problem, not the website)
CNN ^ | Nov 30, 2013 | Tom Cohen

Posted on 11/30/2013 6:51:33 AM PST by Innovative

Another stumble now, after recent revelations of policy cancellations and premium increases for some under the reforms known as Obamacare, would further weaken public trust in the administration's ability to implement the 2010 Affordable Care Act intended to help millions of uninsured Americans get coverage.

Continued problems also would provide more ammunition for fierce attacks led by conservative Republicans seeking to dismantle a law they consider unworkable and the ultimate example of big government run amok.

"This law has been an absolute disaster, leaving us to ask, 'What's next?' " the Ohio Republican said in a statement. "If the President won't repeal it, he should at least delay the entire law before it wreaks any more havoc on American families and small businesses as well as our economy."

Obama is trying to tell us that once the website is fixed, "all is well" when in fact the real problem is NOT the website, the real problem is Obamacare itself and the only way to "fix" it is to repeal it in its entirety.

All Republicans running in 2014 should pledge to repeal it and let Obama try to veto it, then we'll get a Republican president in 2016 (just hope it's not Christie...)

“it’ll kill the economy”

What makes you think that is not his real goal?

Everything he does is detrimental to this country.

That is the fundamental problem. Tring to program the law’s MASSIVE complexity into a website is a fool’s errand.

The website is really a system of systems with numerous interfaces which only adds to the complexity. And as the “law” continuously changes, which it will quite frequently, the website will become an even greater disaster as it tries to keep up with an ever moving target.

Ya know... God’s really been putting it hard in my mind recently how Satan is the father of lies. Bible Theology 101? But one lie of his is so deep it can hardly be described in man’s language. “It ain’t me” unless the “me” has something to brag about. Not boast in... brag about. Nothing helped or contributed to me doing this supposedly wonderful thing, it was me me me! When all along it was God furnishing the power.

We have a group of people such that never before in America has been seen the scope of investment in Satan’s lies.

“The devil made me do it”? Well the devil can make you do something if you yield yourself to him. That is the state of humankind when born due to a collective fall of human souls which the bible only sketchily describes but whose consequences are loud and clear and inescapable.

Will this thing bring enough pain by the Nov ‘14 election? Surely there will be sufficient numbers of pissed off Americans by 2016 to make the dems pay.

Or....... will the pubbies find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?

Will the media continue to carry water for Zero? Yes, as long as the site is working for most people, at least superficially.

” will the pubbies find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?”

That is my fear — this is one thing they sadly seem to be good at...

Just saw and posted this article from CA — where the media is not reporting on the problems.

Rate hikes hidden in California’s glowing Obamacare reviews (half will pay more)

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3096823/posts

“During a meeting last week, officials at Covered California, the state’s much-touted health insurance marketplace, made a pretty stark admission: Half of the approximately 1 million consumers whose health plans are being canceled will pay more under the Affordable Care Act.

The numbers, it seems, have been overshadowed by other, more positive headlines.”

“All Republicans running in 2014 should pledge to repeal it and let Obama try to veto it, then we’ll get a Republican president in 2016 (just hope it’s not Christie...) “

Republican litmus test. For senators add in no vote for any cloture on anything.

The gop wing of the uniparty is perfectly happy with mcconnellcare. It is very unlikely to be repealed. Sure. The gop will squeak and fuss, but its all part of the political theatre. Why do you think such stellar gop luminaries like john boehner are pushing for delay? They LIKE the status quo.

Just for laughs I’ve been trying to access healthcare.gov all day and all I get is “ server not responding”......

It'll start responding at 12:01 AM tomorrow. And work perfectly. For everyone. Regardless of the amount of traffic. And will process all applications in a timely manner. All of them. Regardless of benefits requested. All mistakes will be auto-corrected. And the corrections will be more beneficial than the original requests. Several orders of magnitude more beneficial. Resulting in a 10% discount to be applied at checkout. Per mistake. A 15% refund in the form of a debit card will be issued for selected applicants based on Party affiliation(Preferred Democrat Option) and reproductive health status. With multiple partner discounts available(additional 5% for same gender). Abortion candidates are pre-approved and moved to the front of the que.

All applications will be processed within a 15 minute time frame. All of them. By the end of the process the applicant will feel significantly healthier than at the start. With said good feelings transferable to household members. These members should experience improved health within 3 to 5 business days. Should this not be the case, please return to healthcare.gov and apply for a 120% return on your 2010-2015 healthcare expenses. Those refunds are electronically deposited into your bank account so please have your account and routing numbers standing by.

"And this marvelous, freshly built multiple lane bridge can be yours, if The Price Is Right!"

How do you define victory? The gop is perfectly happy with mcconnellcare. It will be a factor in the 2014 elections but rest assured: mcconnellcare will survive. Its sort of like a balanced budget amendment in the 80’s. The gop fussed for it but when they got into power, getting a balanced budget amendment enacted was always just a little too hard to do.

Yes. The Republicans, and their interests, have figured out how to get on the equity side of the equation. The way they see it is they ain’t about to kill the goose that lays golden eggs.

God's judgments in the Garden are what Satan has been trying to disprove since then.

To the woman he said,

“I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”

Satan's response: abortion and women's liberation

To Adam he said,

“Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’ “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life. 18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. 19 By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.”

Satan's response: Welfare and long-term unemployment compensation
