Scott Walker, Wisconsin’s action governor
Washington Post ^ | November 29, 2013 | By George Will

MILWAUKEE

In 2011, thousands of government employees and others, enraged by Gov. Scott Walker’s determination to break the ruinously expensive and paralyzing grip that government workers’ unions had on Wisconsin, took over the capitol building in Madison. With chanting, screaming and singing supplemented by bullhorns, bagpipes and drum circles, their cacophony shook the building that the squalor of their occupation made malodorous. They spat on Republican legislators and urinated on Walker’s office door. They shouted, “This is what democracy looks like!”

When they and Democratic legislators failed to prevent passage of Act 10, they tried to defeat — with a scurrilous smear campaign that backfired — an elected state Supreme Court justice. They hoped that changing the court’s composition would get Walker’s reforms overturned. When this failed, they tried to capture the state Senate by recalling six Republican senators. When this failed, they tried to recall Walker. On the night that failed — he won with a larger margin than he had received when elected 19 months earlier — he resisted the temptation to proclaim, “This is what democracy looks like!”

Yup. Scotty thinks any foreigner who routinely sneers at laws is more important then an American.

Apparently little Scotty’s real problem is not with overpaid bureaucrats, but with other Americans. Guess he’s Amerophobic.

I’m all for sending the 10 million illegals in California and their kiddies up to Wisconsin so he can live as King of the Illegals....which is to say, Lord of the Flies.

Guess he’ll be happier living with the violent and corrupt thugs of the Third World.

Better yet....just have him move to Mexico City, run for office there. See how far that gets him.

In the meantime, as for handing citizenship and the ability to vote in our elections and end up in political possession of the Southwest, he can shut up. It may not affect him, but it does affect me.

He’s made conflicting statements on amnesty. But don’t focus just on his views towards illegal aliens and illegal immigration. Legal immigration is an even bigger deal.

Walker recently made comments suggesting he supports not just current pro-Democrat levels of mass legal immigration, but increased levels of unending pro-democrat mass legal immigration.

It’s an insane and left wing position for a conservative to hold. There is no way it would not import even more future democrats, and it is a position opposed by most Americans.

As if you need any more proof of why Wash, DC is the way it is, read the comments under Will’s article. I got about five under my belt (including the bemoaning that Walker had no college degree) before I began to regurgitate.

[Isn't Scott Walker for amnesty?]

From Hot Air 11-20-13:

(“I’ve not said there should be amnesty in this country. I don’t believe that. I don’t support the legislation being kicked around. What I’ve said repeatedly is we need to fix the immigration system, but fix the legal system. So if people want to come in this country we should have a legal immigration system.”)

During a politician's campaign speech a deaf man in the audience turned to his companion and asked: “What is he saying?” His friend yelled back: “He don't say!”

None of our politicians is perfect. But Scott Walker has at least been successful in trimming back government. Even Reagan wasn’t successful at that.

We need to make it clear to every one running in 2016 that amnesty WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. We want our laws enforced. We do not want welfare benefits given to those who broke our laws. We’ve been able to block that kind of legislation, and it should be doable to force them to make a promise about amnesty.

And we need a Tea Party guy like Ted Cruz on the ticket to keep them on the straight and narrow. Although I rather like the idea of Ted on the Supreme Court. Wouldn’t that give the lefties a headache!

WHERE does he stand on the Second Amendment? On Muslims? On Illegals? On the Constitution? I understand he is pro-life which is very encouraging.

...bemoaning that Walker had no college degree...

Too bad Melas has left the room. He argued that Sarah Palin's bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Idaho did not provide her with enough of an educational background to be president.

Regarding all those tearing down this good man based on rumors and misunderstanding, I want to state for the record - no, he has not walked on water yet. Besides, we still want him here - you cannot have him anyways.

George Will has come out in favor of gun control and God knows what else. I take everything he says with a grain of salt the size of the ones that you find clumped at an intersection in New Jersey in the winter.

Looking at the keywords added to this, it is clear that someone is obsessed with Walker. Almost like a disinformation campaign from the left. That is the type of thing this reminds me of.

So tell me, who exactly passes your purity test, besides yourself, that is? And is that person someone who can capture positive national attention?

Scott Walker is pro 2nd Amendment (Wisconsin residents got the right to concealed carry under his administration.)

Scott Walker is pro a LEGAL path to citizenship for immigrants. A system that works.

I can’t recall any statement from him on Muslims. Scott is a Christian. The son of a mnister.

Scott Walker loves the Constitution — both the Federal and the State.

Scott Walker has trimmed the budget and balanced it. We now have a surplus after the previous Governor illegally used all the ear marked funds to pad the general fund. Walker has provided tax DECREASES for Wisconsinites for the first time in decades.

Scott Walker has worked diligently to bring jobs to Wisconsin.

Scott Walker has been a tower of strength despite despicable attacks from the unions and the teachers against him and his family.

Unfortunately, there is much work left to do; and I think we need him here in Wisconsin for another term. I’d vote for him for President in a NY minute, but it would be a vote cast with a heavy heart.
