Although much of the gun control push under President Obama has failed to result in new laws, it has succeeded in creating a new tradition where shoppers scoop up guns on Black Friday so they can place them under the tree on Christmas Day.

As the National Shooting Sports Foundation reported, the jump in 2011 marked "a 32.01 percent increase over" the sales on 2008 Black Friday--the year Obama was first elected.

Keep in mind that there is no more production of lead in the US as of last week, as the EPA shut down the last operation. Bullets and car batteries are going to cost as much as your health insurance policy.

Happy shooting.

I will be buying 5 more rifles here in CA before the end of the year. I bought 3 rifles in Nov and 1 handgun.

Starting Jan 1st, CA will start registering rifles in the same manner as they have for handguns. Lots of CA folks buying rifles before Jan 1.

They are going to get the guns away from people one way or another — watch for making only guns that hold only ONE round of ammunition legal...

And you can have a gun, but won’t be able to buy ammo...

It is indeed frightening EPA has shut down the last lead smelter in the US. Another step toward getting rid of all ammunition.

10 rounds, 8 rounds, 5 rounds...all completely arbitrary numbers. You are right that they are working toward 1 round.

I bought ammo. I found 9mm FMJ for $0.28 a round. My only purchase that day.

Which is why all gun owner's should be learning the art of reloading.
